By PC 98 are you referring to the original release of Kyrandia, the talkie version (i have both the talkie and the non talkie disks) or something else? i was just curious as the Kyrandia series is one of my all time favorites and I was just playing the start of Kyrandia I last night. He's referring...

Hey, it looks like watching a videogame mosaic.

Pretty cool, but... what would be the point? I mean, it would also look cool with a crayon-scribble filter, but that's not being suggested to be included in SCUMMVM for obvious reasons...

Today LucasArts re-released some of their adventure classics on Steam. Immediately people started to wonder about ScummVM. Let's see... It came out of the blue, and nobody ever expected such turn. We even had internal jokes that LEC would rather release "Jedi Fights the Green Tentacle" th...

About SCUMMVM exiting when checksums fail

I had never given it any thought until now, but I've recently felt that it seems very odd how SCUMMVM just stops running when the files for a selected game don't have the same MD5 checksums as they do in the internal database. I just thought that SCUMMVM could be a little more user-friendly if, inst...

I got the first Monkey Island Special Edition from Steam on their latest sale (pretty cheap) and was highly disappointed to see this version wasn't supported by the main, non hacked, SCUMMVM releases.

Are there any odd legal reasons why these aren't being supported yet?

Fixing numeric keyboard functionality?

So I dug up my copy of Indy 3 and tried it again on the Wii. Turns out that you can't fight in this game anymore. Wouldn't it be possible to just map the Nunchuk directions to those of the numeric pad? Although the ideal solution would be to map the virtual keyboard to the "1" button (like...

The 2 links to the papers seem to be down I think but Slashdot linked to Extreme Tech. It might not be a full screenshot but they have a 40x16 Mario dolphin with the process applied. http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2845,2385811,00.asp And that Mario dolphin happens to be the only sprite in th...

That would defeat the whole point of using the SCUMMVM interface and features, don't you think?

That also happens when you leave the bar at the beginning, and when you ask the drunk guy about Von Braun. You can skip those scenes with the "-" button, but that means you won't know what happened or what to do... Also, did the CD music play so loud compared to the speech, in the original...

Now that it works without problems, have you guys found out if this game shares the same engine as Alcachofa Soft's other games, like Fred and Jeff/Mortadelo y Filemón?

Oops, sorry... But it would be nice to know if anybody else is experiencing the problem or if I'm just doing something wrong, before reporting it as a bug.

Bug report: Nippon Safes, Inc.

It looks like the main character (old guy) disappears forever once he gets to enter the "Hot Sushi" bar.

That's near the beginning, after the first two short intros for the other characters.

Hmm the "problem" might be to do with whether or not it's a the NES PAL-A, PAL-B, or NTSC release. The only aspect ratio difference between PAL and NTSC releases is that the PAL versions will look even more squashed vertically, due to the TV having more vertical lines, and PAL consoles ac...

A few issues with NES Maniac Mansion

I've noticed that every version of NES Maniac Mansion skips the initial screen and the Lucasfilm Games logo. Is this intentional, for some reason? Also SCUMMVM stays at the "MANSION" letters with the chainsaw, where it should go to the kid selection screen automatically. The aspect ratio i...
