To me it reads as though this is simply a way to allow them to migrate to a new platform. If you read the GOG.com page, nowhere does it say that they are shutting down for good, simply closing down the current form. Plus, if they were closing for good, the last sentence, about providing a way for pe...

ScummVM would need to be bundled with the games in a single installer file, which would be made available via the app store. Since this is not possible, because all the games are copyrighted and such by their respective companies, ScummVM will likely never be approved by Apple as an app. Apple does ...

Jailbreaking is now legal!

The Federal Government approved some new exceptions to the DMCA today, two of which allow owners of smartphones to unlock their phones to be used with any carrier they choose, and the other allowing the installations of programs even if not approved by the manufacture(Apple in this case). Now, there...

If you have no means through which to transfer roms to your N64 console, then I am curious for what reason you are trying to use the N64 port.

Wii System Menu 4.3 Update **Warning**

Recently (June 21) Nintendo released an update to their system menu which seeks to (and presently does) patch bugs and remove unauthorized programs. It breaks the bannerbomb v2 exploit, removes HBC, as well as others. There is presently no work around for the HBC channel and this update adds no new ...

I think it is worth asking

Well, in the end, it is worth asking for the permission from Apple. What is the worst that they could do; say no? Even if they don't give you the approval, there is no loss to ScummVM.

It almost sounds like there is an error in your monster.sou; or rather I suspect an error in the way it has been compressed? What form, if any, compression did you use? Perhaps try it without compression; sd read times are becoming much improved and compression is more so to save space now.

First thing you should do is upgrade the version of scummvm you are using. There should be a .deb of version 0.12.0 or you can compile it from the svn. I would suggest the svn myself, as it is (obviously) the most up to date version, and even though it is unsupported/unofficial I have never had any ...

Illegal Distrubution of ScummVM

If any of you keep up with the goings on at links removed then you are bound to have heard about Argon and the new channel they have released. Essentially it is a channel that is DRM locked to a modchip that they sell, but to install the channel it uses (with out permission) various software, such a...

Ok... I have devkitPPC(r15), libogc(git), libfat(cvs) and the latest scummVM(svn), but I keep getting a "support for wii backend not implemented in configure script yet" error during configure and a fatreadahead error when I try to run make(understandably, give the configure result). What ...
