Re: New Version on the AppStore

Some companies were already in the process of doing this before this version of FOTAQ came to the app store, but they are actually putting time and effort into adding value to these versions of the games, rather than doing quick rushjob ports that offer little to no benefit over a free version -- h...

Re: New Version on the AppStore

We will work with ScummVM team in order to bring as many games as possible to the iPhone and iPod touch. This game isn't free anymore, in order to support the game developers. Besides of making this "Apple Approved", this version features several improvements from the current Cydia ScummV...

I doubt clem was behind this release. More likely some journalist just put the 1st Google hit for Flight of the Amazon Queen as a link for more information, since "iPhSoft" doesn't seem to have a website of its own. That's what I thought at first as well, but I just had a quick look at th...

Flight of the Amazon Queen was on the App Store

This morning I noticed Flight of The Amazon Queen supposedly was released on the App Store, according to this article: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Free+iPhone+Games/feature.asp?c=12969 (Scroll down to the bottom of the article) Unfortunately the app already has disappeared at the time the ...

Hmm I see... Would it be acceptable if my solution ("save right before you enter an unsaveable state") were only implemented for the engines where ScummVM knows when it can save and when it can't? In the meantime, ScummVM could display a subtle warning message whenever you start/restore a ...

I've got a slightly different take on the "ScummVM should auto-save on exit" problem. I'd solve the problem like this: Whenever ScummVM knows it's about to enter a state in which you can't change the game, ScummVM should save the game, just before it enters such a state. (This does assume ...

Hmm, you're probably right... However, I've read about some rumors that a PC emulator (think it was called "iEmulator touch") might be released as an application on the AppStore. If that thing eventually gets through, I'm pretty sure they'll accept ScummVM as a valid AppStore app as well (...

Releasing ScummVM on the AppStore

Hi, I've been wondering about this idea for a while now: Wouldn't it be cool if ScummVM were released as a (free) application on iTunes's AppStore? In other words, you wouldn't need to jailbreak your iPhone/iPod touch in order to get ScummVM up and running. Currently, I haven't jailbroken my iPod to...
