Suggestion for improving the touchpad controls

The lower resolution games; Monkey Island, Loom, etc. I believe would all be much better to control in portrait mode, with the keyboard minimizable and then that area (where the keyboard currently is) could also act as a touchpad. That way, your thumb wouldn't be in the way, and also, in my opinion,...

New version (0.12.0-pre3): Fixed sleep mode (status bar and sound), and added a touchpad mode :). Hold one finger and drag the other from left to right to toggle it. Play around with it and let me know if you think the sensitivity is ok, please! Seems fine :) thanks so much. I think I might just pl...

Maybe a demo bundle, with a few demos (and possibly a freeware game like Beneath a Steel Sky?) could be authorized? Even if it wasn't capable of importing games, a lot of people could still enjoy BASS.

I believe the Wii ScummVM came with a few game demos.

That last paragraph sums up my intended meaning :)

Maybe it could first be coded without acceleration (ie the cursor always follows the finger at the same velocity). That should be a lot easier to code without making it much worse.

The VNC client, TPP, acts as if it were a laptop touchpad. You put 1 finger down (anywhere on the screen) and move it, the cursor will follow the direction your finger is moving, depending on how fast the finger is moving affects the speed the cursor moves (so a quick flick will move it further than...

I'm not usually one to bump threads, but I have a feeling it didn't come to the attention of the port developer(s).

Touchpad Pro (VNC client) has proven touchpad style control works brilliantly on the iPhone.

I'm begging you!

Touchpad style control?

What would make ScummVM perfect for the iphone is for the screen to act as a touchpad for the cursor rather than a touchscreen. If not the game screen, then how about make the keyboard minimizable on the keyboard view and make that unused area act as a touchpad? It would make things a LOT easier to ...
