Re: The Feeble Files - Bird on the hill cannot be shot down.
I want to shoot the animal with the combat robot, but this just doesn't work. The combat robot says "target acquired" only with the rockets but nothing happens. Waited for a minute and nothing happened in this time. The robot does not want to use the other weapons. I wasn't able to reprod...

Re: WildMIDI support?
https://github.com/Mindwerks/wildmidi Would it be feasible to support the WildMIDI API as software MIDI player for low end systems? I'm not sure. I get the impression that it's more focused on handling an entire MIDI file at a time, not parsing MIDI events as they happen, so it might not be an easy...

Re: Saves from 2.6.0 are not working on the ScummVM from Play Store
It's always been the case (at least with the SCUMM engine) that savegames from older versions generally work with newer versions, but not the other way around. I doubt that will change. This doesn't neessarily happen every new version, but whenever the format of savegames changes, the version number...

Re: "Inca II" in ScummVM
It seems that my version of "Inca II" is not recognized by ScummVM... I have the US floppy box version 1.0 dated 18.03.1994. Adding a detection entry should be simple enough, I guess... but the game isn't really supported. (From what I understand, there's a bunch of hard-coded stuff in th...

- Loom (EGA) - preferrable with the orchestral soundtrack Oooh, someone uses that feature now. Cool! 8) Day of the Tentacle is one of my favorites, partly because of how well designed I think it is. It could so easily have become over-reliant on detailed knowledge of American history... and I suppo...

Re: Loom & Indy3 PC EGA, What's the difference between versions A, B & C?
Yeah, I wonder if all the translation teams had access to the full scripts with permission to adapt them, or just the raw text without much context. I guess it probably varied. Recently someone pointed me to this article, about a cancelled Swedish version of The Secret of Monkey Island: https://spe...

Re: Aspect Ratio Correction on FM Towns Games
When I load Loom, this setting disappears from the list of options. I presumed it was specifically disabled for being buggy or non-functional with Loom. So I was wondering why that is the case and how long it may be before Loom becomes compatible with the pixel cropped format. I don't think anythin...

Re: Aspect Ratio Correction on FM Towns Games
Is there an update or estimate on how soon compatibility with Loom will make it it into the release build / master source code? I notice that compatibility with the other FM Towns LucasArts games made it across. I can see from this thread there are some lingering minor issues, which is fully unders...

Re: Blade Runner - Original SCUMMVM version back up on GOG.
That’s a relief. The “remastered” version appears to have been widely panned. Looks like it was a rush-job to cash in on the 25th anniversary of the original release. Well, this version has been in the works for a long time. But I still don't understand why they decided to release it in this state....

Apparently it affects Grim Fandango too. Fortunately 2.6 seems unaffected.

That one's partially working, but I haven't heard of anyone working to improve it. See https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Illusions

Re: No text in Escape from Monkey Island (2.7.0git)
I can confirm this issue with current development build for 2.7.0git and a local build from master HEAD. This is possibly a regression(?) since checking with an older daily build (from June 20, 2022) the text displays correctly. It works for me with the "OpenGL" renderer. Only "OpenG...

Re: Steamdeck ScummVM required?
Also, the Steam versions of Loom, The Dig, Indy Last Crusade, and Indy Fate of Atlantis use an official in-house Windows version of the SCUMM interpreter (not ScummVM) that upscales the graphics with a filter and you can't turn it off. If you like the chunky pixels, I recommend the Flatpacks. Accor...

Re: Sherlock Holmes: Serrated Scalpel Bug
Sorry, I have no idea. I seem to recall that with the issue that was fixed, leaving and re-entering the room would unfreeze them though. (I could be wrong about that.)
