I have the same issue but it's not only with midi device : all music modes are concerned (adlib, MT32, midi etc...).
For me, it affects only SCI's games.

I finish it with scummvm and I don't see any bug. (french version : text FR and english voices)

why there is not lands of lore support for the next version ? the game seems working perfectly, I finish it few weeks ago with scummvm!

I played on the french version (french text with english talkies)

It'is a good soundfont for games !! and the other midi music are better now ! I have a creative sound cards (X-fi and live!) and to load soundfonts is very easier because it's hardware compatible.

I'm 22 and I'm french !! My firsts computers games were day of the tentacle & lands of lore in 1993 (I was 7), I know now that I was lucky !! It was on my brother's computers : a intel 486DX 33 with 4MB RAM; 2X cd-rom drive and the famous SB16 ISA! But my best adventure game (point & click!)...
