Well, I am not a programmer but I have basic knowdledge of C and Pascal. I don't really expect to produce a fully working engine, my project it's only an experiment for myself. And I was already thinking on using SDL+Lua. I said the ScummVM source code would help as an example only. I think it would...

Engine development info

Does anyboy know about any place where I could find information about coding a custom adventure game engine? I suppose the ScummVM source could give some ideas, but what about other alternatives or technical info? Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm sure I've seen MI4 in Game recently... I better shut up before this turns into one of those long, tedious forum debates. They've re-released some of their older games, at least in Europe. I've seen Sam & Max , Full Throttle and The Dig fairly recently in stores. I've also seen some of their...

also, without emulation or scummvm, it is incredibly hard to get most games running on modern machines(was difficult at release as well), im sure company's know of this, so i doubt they would bother re-releasing, without some kind of XP support. the cost to employ the factory's to produce them, in ...

how much, in lenth, is the audio in minutes?

mp3's are typically 1MB per minute

and how much game data is there? again in MB's
I don't have the CD at hand now. But it's probably more logical to wait, anyway.

That page has mixed info about Drascula and Dracula. But yes, the game would be big (it has cd audio tracks). Look the official web: Maybe not, if the audio track were in mp3/ogg (since ScummVM doens't support CD audio tracks). That's true. But I would prefer them in FLAC instead. Most people will ...

And how exactly did you end up to such a conclusion? Purely out of speculation? :? http://www.adventure-eu.com/forum/index.php?topic=1261.0;prev_next=next Very good news :) . According to what was said by the developers in that link, the game will be released as freeware in five different languages...

Any idea about what languages could be released? Looking at the subversion repository, the source code includes a lot of the game text in english.

Great to know you're working for supporting Drascula. If Alcachofa Soft gave you the original source code and backgrounds, are there any possibility of making a freeware release of the game, once support for it is completed?
