Re: how to update from apt to release binary cleanly?
Hello fellow scumms. I want to update from my 2.5.1 apt release to the upcoming 2.8.1 binary release. I am on ubuntu. I want to keep all my saves, game settings, scummvm settings, etc. the same as it currently is, and simply want the update to be a simple swap without needing any confirguration. ho...

Re: Android Quicksave accidentally overwritten
Is there any way to restore the overwritten save game? I don't think there's any way for that, unless you kept a backup copy of your saved games folder some time beforehand. If you have autosaving enabled, maybe you can load the game in the autosave slot which potentially would be close to the poin...

Re: Android 2.3
As far as I know, there are currenlty no plans for resuming support for such old devices. You may try with one of the legacy versions of ScummVM . Although it won't have any of the new features, bug fixes and new engines support, the 2.0.0 seems to cover support from Android 2.3.0 and greater. On th...

Re: Certain games initially added, then grayed out/"path doesn't exist" after playing once
Hi there! The version that gets downloaded by default using the terminal on Rasberry PI is 2.20. After some fiddling, I did manage to get version 2.80 but the same thing happened. This may be a Rasberry PI OS issue so I'm probably better off posting in the 'other ports' section of the forum... Anot...

Which version of ScummVM are you testing with?
DId you switch versions especially backwards, eg. from a daily dev build (2.9.0git) to 2.8.0?

Re: The emulator freezes when I try to run a program in Fullscreen Mode
I am not sure if I understand correctly, but does the issue happen only with some games and not all? You mention Spanish version of Soltys having the issue but the English version running ok on full screen with the same version of ScummVM, so if that's correct then it's quite peculiar. Perhaps you c...

Re: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: Explain this mistery to me
If the issue is that a cracked copy of the game is not working properly, then it's not a bug, it's a tampered version of the game. As a rule, we don't discuss nor provide support for pirated versions of games. Unless I am mistaken, you are still testing with a cracked copy, and that Steam forum thre...

Re: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: Explain this mistery to me
Sure. I don't know if I can attach files here. So here's a link to file.io: https://file.io/Or8veOvVeUBQ It's a zip file with the savegame files. With this saved game file, loaded from the original EGA version (running via DosBox), it does indeed show "Grail Diary" in the inventory and th...

Re: How do I get "Orion Burger" running on ScummVM? Game isn't detected correctly, see screenshot inside
"Orion Burger" is supported for testing with the daily development builds. It's not, as of yet, considered stable, so it won't run with the official stable 2.8.0 version of ScummVM. We do appreciate any feedback from anyone who is testing it with ScummVM, though. You need to download a dai...

Re: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: Explain this mistery to me
Ok. So I play Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (16 color EGA version) on Scummvm, right? I make it to the library, I arrive to the screen with the roman numerals and the stained glass window, and Indy says: "Dad searched for roman numberals everywhere!", then I open (or look at) the gri...

Re: Can't get games to run on R36S
It looks like the ArkOS distribution has a ScummVM version that is a special build (and from a year-old source code). The ".scummvm" dummy description file requirement points to the use of a RetroArch ScummVM "core". But personally I've never played with Retroarch and I can't pro...

Re: Scummvm 2.8.0 - Gobliiins 5 - black characters
Hallo, I can reproduce this problem on many AGS games (Unavowed, Whispers of a Machine, Technobabylon... all from GOG ) with 2.8.0 and 2.9.x, but only on a device with Android 13. On other devices, with Android 8.1, 11 and 14 it is ok. On the tablet with Android 13, the RetroArch Scummvm Core (v.2....

Re: So I wanted to get Syberia running on my Miyoo mini...
This was discussed recently on the forums here: https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=17021 7-zip might suffice (with a bit of renaming, as mentioned in the linked thread). I've tested with unar in Linux. The instructions for acquiring the data files from the official installers are in the Scum...

Re: Retropie Daily Build of Scummvm 2.8.x
Hello, this issue is not relevant to the Android Port version of ScummVM so I am moving the topic to the "Other Ports" subforum.
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with RetroPie at all, so I cannot help further.
