For ripping background graphics, actors, sprites and animations you might check out my old LucasRipper software, which supports a bit more games than ScummEX if I remember correctly, but is far from being a complete resource ripper or even editor and is abandoned/not updated anymore as well. :) You ...

BTW: Using the command line parameter "--config" you can specify a different location for your ini file, e.g. one that resides in the application directory.

I recently had a chance to attend a presentation by Poki himself some days ago about the storytelling in Deponia and his intentions behind it. It was really in-depth and great to listen to, altohugh close to 3 hours in length! There is a recording of this session here, although only in German: http:...

Heya, I am the author of LucasRipper.
Strange that it fails on Indy4 CD, I think I tested with that as well. If I find the time, I will dig up the old source code and see if I can find the issue.
Cheers,

You can change the paths in the ini file from absolute to relative paths to make the game locations drive letter independent. And you can tell ScummVM to load the ini file from a different location, e.g. locally. I have my ScummVM installation and games on a USB stick and the ini file in the same di...

Re: Compressing flac to ogg (scummvm talkies)

That's in the old original scumm games, but I'm talking about the Special Edition of Monkey Island (2009) and the patch to use its voices with scummvm. The original format here is not sou, but something else that can be converted to sou, flac, mp3... Ah yes, for that edition, the original format is...

Re: Compressing flac to ogg (scummvm talkies)

That's probably bad wording on my part. Both flac and sou are obtained from whatever is stored in the original files (let's assume it's wav). Flac is compressed for that, but without reduced quality, sou, while maybe not exactly "compressed", has reduced quality, with frequency reduced to...

For graphic files only you might try my own (now rather old) LucasRipper program, which support a wide range of LucasArts adventures:

I don't have a Dingoo nor know much about it, but just for your information, it seems the original creator of this port has his own website where he supplies binaries and also the modified source code (no registration necessary): http://cax.nm.ru/ The site 10basetom linked to seems to be only a gene...

Well, Maximus Arcade is a frontend that can also call simple windows batch files. I use it personally to start all my Windows games like GTA4, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Burnout, etc. from within this frontend by just calling different batch files that then run the specific game exe - very easy to ...

Yeah, I remember now that my tool can rip Indy3 EGA, as I did a comparision of all the different versions of the background graphics for different countries/versions/releases/platforms. In Germany, the EGA and VGA versions of Indy3 were censored, but the EGA version was done much better than the VGA...

I have written a tool called LucasRipper a long time ago.
As far as I can remember, it could rip images from LucasArts EGA games correctly, so you might give it a try.

Here is the link:
