Blast... Well, there's no way I can convince my Mom to get me a third copy of Monkey Island 2, especially since she just paid way too much for a boxed set in good condition (with even the copy-protection wheel and magazine advertisement still included). Am I allowed to ask for a copy of the monkey2....

I was kind of hoping that since there was an official patch for the exact problem I was having, that it meant lots of people have had this problem and its not a corrupt file. I have tried DOSBox, but did not mention it here because I thought it was beyond the scope of this forum. DOSBox does the sam...

Monkey Island 2 does not want to patch
I've recently purchased multi-floppy DOS version of Monkey Island 2. I am currently trying to run it with either Win98 or ScummVM and WinXP. I also have a Macintosh version I couldn't get to run (surprise) on either machine. During the course of my previous (Probably irrelevant) topic, http://forums...

Well, I didn't have those files (The above was a retyping of the instruction page.) But now I do because I just got the MS-dos version shipped to me. Now I need to get rid of this: (0:1:0x93A): script 130 not in room 108 at 8817225+39341 in file monkey2.001 But, that might be in the forum somewhere ...

I converted the .bin files using both the default double click included with StuffIt and the Expander. The default double click gave me .sit files with the same name as the originals. The Expander gave me the same thing but without file extentions. (The files are listed as File type files) ScummVM s...

As for HVFExplorer giving you bins: I never used it myself (being a Mac user), but let me try to guess a bit around anyway... Does HVExplorer show you these .bin files as *content* of the floppies? Or what? Those files look like disc images (but *not* the CUE/BIN format used for CDs -- that, too, w...

I do have the original discs and they are for the mac. But the contents could only be copied using HVExplorer because Windows doesn't like the Mac formatted disks until I use a converter. Instead of giving me .000 through .00# files, I got .bins. HVExplorer is from http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/...

scummVM cannot find Monkey Island 2
I can't seem to get Monkey Island 2 to run. My OS is Windows XP Home and I have a five disk set of Monkey Island 2 for "Macintosh II Series, LC, and Quadra". ScummVM can't find the game when I use "Add Game." In the folder I have moved the disk's contents to I have: Desktop.bin M...
