Re: Return to Zork F10

Funny how they used a debug function to create a translation of some sort. Pic of a page in the manual:

Return to Zork F10

Hi! I own the Spanish release of this game, which comes with an extra manual with a translation of all the text in the game. Apparently the game has a mode in which by pressing F10 it will display a code in the screen, which is matched in the transcription booklet to the Spanish translation. I have ...

Re: ScummVM on 3DS

Some games crashed at launch for me. Discworld games and Amazon Queen, for instance.

Nice work, they look very much like the budget editions of these very same games in Spain back in the mid nineties: http://es.wallapop.com/item/lote-juegos-de-pc-114699187 http://es.wallapop.com/item/maniac-mansion-juego-pc-138739008 http://es.wallapop.com/item/juego-para-pc-indiana-jones-y-la-ultim...

Just want to say that my GF does not work either with the latest version. It worked just fine this morning with a release from last week.

I get an error saying "Could not find colormap yr1_pal1.c!".

Before anyone suggests otherwise, my game is original :)

Savegames

Hi, has anyone got any savegames that could be posted here for the current Residual version? I started GF months ago but left it because RVM was buggy yet, and the Savegames are not compatible with newer versions. I would not like to have to start over again :) Thanks in advance, and also to the Res...

If you played the game and have seen just a few "2.5D" adventure games, you'll end up concluding that in no way the characters in this particular game are real time 3D.

No matter what Wikipedia says.

I think you're both wrong. The models were rendered into sprites using cell-shading. But it's completely 2D, and it's pretty obvious, frames are not that many, especially when the character makes a turn.

Re: SCI progress updates

3. In the same spirit - A fan made a GK2 patch so that it would contain subtitles. All he did was create resources with text that he wrote from hearing. In the future where ScummVM will be able to run GK2 - wouldn't it be possible to integrate the fan-made texts so that ScummVM will recognize them?...

I can't run it myself, it asks for a toon.dat file which says can be downloaded from the homepage, but I can't find it.

IIRC, with LSL6CD the msg resource files were the same as those from the floppy one, so "translating" the talkie version to Spanish was a matter of simply extracting the msg files then dropping them on the installation directory, then translate the few new msgs left.

Could this also be the case?
