Re: Infrastructure updates

Should the forums display a favicon? They seem to have stopped doing that since the update. On an unrelated note, is there a chance someone could clean up the announcements and pinned topics in General Discussion? You currently have to scroll through 15 (!) of those, many of which haven't seen any a...

Topic: How to take Screenshots in ScummVM?

ScummVM tries to save the screenshots in its own directory. If you're on Windows 7 (and Vista?) with UAC on (and ScummVM is installed in Program Files), that's not allowed and they will get redirected to C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\ScummVM (without the...

Kurufinwe Isn't saying 'it's not' completeable a bit much? I can't see much difference in it and calling the person who completed it a liar. Why would somebody do that? I've posted games as completeable because I managed to reach the end. But somebody else could play it and not be able to finish it...

I see that KQ5 VGA (floppy, English) has been marked as completable in the wiki. It's not. While it seems to share most of its bugs with the EGA version (which I guess makes sense, since they were developed at the same time, contrary to the non-English versions and the CD version), and while the EGA...

Re: SCI Pre-Release Testing

I've given the floppy version of KQ5 a try (I like to pretend that the awful CD version never existed). Here are the results: Game: King's Quest V Game Version: Floppy, DOS, English ScummVM Version: 1.2.0svn51527 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (MacBook 5,2) Problems: The game is currently not compl...

Can't grove12345 just grab a trunk build from the buildbot? Those seem to work fine with Lands of Lore.

The list I made* was written based on the floppy version. Possibly the CD version behaves differently. (That'd be an ugly bug if 9 points were missing from that version.) I wrote that list ages ago, so my memories might be fuzzy (and I don't have the game on hand to check), but I remember that the f...

It's definitely that. I can't remember on which guard you have to use it (try it on both!), but I remember hitting the same problem as you did a few years ago (and not finding the answer in the uhs file), and having to figure it out myself, so I'm completely sure the solution involves the bag.

I've completed Elvira 1 (Amiga, English), using ScummVM 1.0.0pre0043164, under Win XP (SP3). I encountered three bugs, reported them as I found them, and kirben fixed them almost instantly – which is rather fantastic. :) There's still a minor graphical glitch to be taken care of in bug 2834254 , but...

I've completed The 7th Guest . The only puzzle I skipped was the microscope puzzle (which I've never been able to win in my life). The game works great. I've reported two bugs: a small (but very frustrating, as it tends to kick in at crucial times) music bug , and a minor bug that only occurs when l...

I've just finished The Dig (English Windows CD version), using ScummVM v. 1.0.0svn42433 under MacOSX 10.5. Reported two bugs, one of which seems pretty important to me (prevents your from saving your game). Apart from that, everything works great.
