Yeah enhanced has way better graphics, and I found it a lot easier to get "enmeshed" in it so to speak as a result. I think the other day I finished doing everything that one can possibly do in Maniac Mansion. It made me wish that some factors changed from game to game, like random encount...

Not to be a Maniac Mansion snob, but the unofficial Deluxe version is not the same as the Enhanced version, let's not confuse people.

And about redoing Maniac Mansion: Why should they do it? It was redone a few years ago as a fanremake called Maniac Mansion Deluxe which is freeware. Why should anyone need another remake? Besides, I think LEC wouldn't even think of remaking such an old game if it hasn't anything to do with Star Wa...

Yeah Bernard SHOULD be the only one who can fix the wires, it seems to me, but strangely ANYONE can.

Actually ebay worked for me last month. I don't know if the enhanced version was released outside of the Classic Adventures bundle, but that's how -I- got it. Be careful of the auctioneers b/c they may not know what they're talking about....

I think it would be a bad idea for them to break back into Adventure games by releasing a SEQUEL. I think it's just been too long and we have to admit that we are a niche market. If they break back in, it is my opinion that they need to start a new franchise, or perhaps REDO the original Maniac Mans...

You could try to get Jeff touching the bare electric wires, up in the room above Edna's room. I think you get an electric shock then. But maybe, the hint poster just intended to give you a very subtle hint that you have to fix the electric wires in that room before you are able to turn on the light...
