This seems to be the reverse of bug #4876 . The Escape gesture is very similar to the right-mouse button click gesture, but apparently that one only works when click-and-drag mode is disabled. Maybe there is some kind of conflict between the different gestures... By the way, the same happens in Eye...

Trying MI3 using ScummVM 2.5 . Somehow I’m not able to execute a right click with tap+tap/hold to open the action menu. It somehow works when in point and drag mode, but then the game character moves around whenever I tap somewhere on the screen, which is quite annoying.

I downloaded the official deb file and installed via Filza, worked perfectly.
