Shame that I already purchased these a while back (during a discount offer they had on the series, to be precise)!

Now if they made Pandora Directive and Overseer free also then I'd be on their backs before you can say "want a free piggyback ride?".

Is there a detailed guide on compiling your own DS build?

I looked in the Wiki for guidance and it pointed to an old forum topic which didn't exactly go into enough detail on what commands to type in and what not. All it told me was that DevKitPro was needed. I'm a novice when it comes to compiling source code so it would be great if a step-by-step guide c...

How to search for certain references in source for engines?

Or to be more precise: "How do I search for certain references when browsing through source code for each engine in ScummVM?" It recently dawned on me (with help from somebody else elsewhere) that it's possible to adjust the flag regarding copy protection for the Cine engine within a certa...

Thanks for the info.

So what you're saying is...... if the changes are script-based, they can't really be "emulated"/replicated by ScummVM as such? Was the codewheel-skipping in MI1 et al done in a different manner?

Well I tried the installer, but it complained at some point about some file on Disk 2 being the incorrect length or other (even though there were no problems copying the material off that disk before), so it couldn't complete the rest of the installation. When I looked at the stuff it copied though,...

Though I should add that running either the Kixx XL Amiga version or my hacked DOS one through ScummVM will report countless instances of the following 'error'(?) in the console window: WARNING: o5_dummy invoked (opcode 167)! I call it 'error' that way since the game will sti...

I see. Well, like I said, I managed to replicate it somewhat for the DOS version, but I've not 100% playtested my hack through to the end to date.

Do feel free to explain? The Amiga MI2 had the protection present on retail, but on budget it was clean-disabled.

Support for EGA in Elvira 1+2?

(Not sure whether this needed to be reported as a bug or not, but hey.) Elvira: Mistress Of The Dark and Elvira 2: The Jaws Of Cerberus included support for EGA graphics via an alternative interpreter named RUNEGA.EXE. Having just tested via ScummVM's latest SVN build, however, the game still loads ...

How well could the DS handle TFMX support?

I remember toying around with the custom trunk build from this thread months back, and was recently wondering exactly how much power the TFMX emulation used, as I'm kind of hoping the DS with its limited resources could still cope with it in the end. :)

Are you sure those are the demo version files? Didn't think a demo would have a PRJ file 46mb+ in size.

Funnily enough, I'm currently planning on getting a decently-priced copy of this off eBay at some point.

Having said that though, I have the Zork Legacy Collection which includes the Anthology, but it doesn't include any of the material you just mentioned.

Just a question: does Chahi maintain the AnotherWorld.fr site, or is that someone else's responsibility? There's an e-mail address that I could use but I don't know who's going to read my IP question on the other side. : P

Possible to cleanly skip MI2 codewheel after all?

Yes, I'm aware that the protection is disabled by default in MI2 anyway, but since playing the Kixx XL budget rerelease of the Amiga version, and noticing how it skips the whole recipe business at startup and takes you straight to the difficulty select option (I believe the FM-Towns version does som...

What's the status on Simon 1 Acorn floppy?

I copied the files off the Acorn disks to a single folder, but I've noticed that none of them have a .dat extension (which is what the wiki's Required Files section implies, unless it's merely a placeholder). I give them a .dat extension anyway and this is what I get: Using configuration file&#5...
