Re: Small text in fullscreen GUI (macOS)

Yes and no. We added HiDPI screen support for ScummVM recently, but there is currently some assumptions that are made on the screen scaling factor that are incorrect. This is something I am planning to look at soon.

Re: Thousands of games needing testing

On further testing, I've found that all of the following crash with this error when I press F12 whenever they are not playing a video. It works at the menu screen and during gameplay. Thank you! Knowing that, this was easy to reproduce, and that will help a lot to fix it. Edit: And this is now fixe...

Re: SDL 1 version still maintained?

It has not been dropped yet, but there are not a lot of developers using it, and not a lot of effort to keep it up to date. But you are welcome to create bug reports for regression, such as if ALT+ENTER no longer works.

Re: Thousands of games needing testing

There seems to be something wrong with the latest version I downloaded, windows-x86-64-master-23d52a14. A-Z keys don't work, and keys that do something, mostly do something wrong. Backspace produces question mark, comma produces capital H, and so on. Dot produces dot though. I assume this is alread...

Re: Thousands of games needing testing

An update from the last two days: Detection: I have added The Shaft, Echoes of Terra, and Clotilde Soffritti detections (I have also added a few other detection reported on our bug tracker). I have moved Time Gentlemen, Please detection to the commercial game section. SoundClip assert The assert in ...

Re: Thousands of games needing testing

@Raziel would you be able to get a backtrace or bisect to find the commit that introduced this regression?
I looked at the changes we made to the AGS engine in the past week and I don't see any obvious culprit for such a regression.

Re: Thousands of games needing testing

Some texts (like pressing F1 for instructions) looked a bit smudgy, I don't know if that's a settings issue of some kind, but the texts look quite clear when running the game exe without ScummVM. Initially we were always using antialiasing to draw text with TTF fonts. This was changed two days ago ...

Re: AGS games run slow?

We are aware that the AGS engine in ScummVM is slower than the original AGS, and hopefully we can find some ways to speed it up. Most games work fine for me though on a relatively low spec laptop, exceptions being games like The Cat Lady which is indeed painfully slow. Are you using one of the daily...

Re: Thousands of games needing testing

This is fantastic news! Is there a way to tell which game uses which AGS version? Not currently, but it may be useful information, so I'll look into adding a debugger command to give a running game's version. Good idea. The AGS version is actually printed to the terminal/console when you start an A...

Re: PI residualVM

I am assuming by "PI" you mean the Raspberry Pi?
I am not familiar with it, but I would be surprised if the mount points are really the desktop. Many window manager show the mounted disks on the Desktop, but the actual path is different, usually somewhere in /media/ on Linux.

Re: SAP5 Support?

It is indeed up to the engines to tweak which voice to use. For example in Mortville Manor we used different voices for each characters, and the voices are primarily selected based on the character gender. I have not looked at the code in Lure of the Temptress but it probably use the default voice. ...

Re: No option for cloud game data download

I don't really know the reason but my guess would be that it is related to the limitation mentioned on https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?title=Cloud_Storages_API_comparison#Comparison_Table. This suggests that there is a technical issue to support subdirectories (needed for game data) but also that...

You cannot. The game data download option is not available when using Google Drive.

Re: Maniac Mansion NES not supported anymore?

I am not familiar with it, but there are some improvements listed for Maniac Mansion NES in the ScummVM 2.2.0 release notes, which suggest it is still supported.
