Hi there,
While I don't know the answer to your question, I suspect that the first thing the clever people are going to ask is - are you using the CD version of these games, or the floppy ones? [equally, I assume this is on PC, rather than a port or anything like that?]

Excellent, thank you very much for your responses :)

Is it also the case that (assuming you have an ok middle medium) windows ScummVM save games are compatible with Unix ScummVM save games? (I'm thinking of while running directly on a USB stick, not ntfs so can safely write to it in both!)

Save Game compatability

I'm sure that I have found either somewhere on the site, or the forums, that there is a possibility that saved games from one version of ScummVM will not work on a later version...is this true? And if so, is there an easy way of finding out which versions are compatible with each other (before decid...

Why are we making things so complicated?

I've joined this discussion quite late, so have probably missed someone covering this, (also sorry for bringing up an old topic, that sounds like it's been covered many times before!) but - what is wrong with the .ini file being in Windows, so long as the user is definitely made aware of it? Anyone ...

Re: AUP seems to be about sales

If you haven't already, you may want to point out that you are not selling the software since the aup seems rather specific about that in particular. Donating is neither necessary nor sufficient to recieve the software, it's a completely separate and free transaction. is most probably covered by......

while discouraged, ScummVM can be used to play the games without ownership of the original media. I'm not sure I follow this - as it does this no more than, say, an operating system, which also allows you to play games...[although actually having said that, why >do< you remove the copy protection o...

Excellent, thank you very much for your quick response. I have two comments however on the matter: 1) This is most certainly not a complaint, just to let you know - there's no sign of your program on that link Clem... 2) This is a very very easily managable goal just by changing your ini files a lit...

My apologies for bringing up quite an old thread again, I'd just like to say to Clem - I take my hat off to you for your loading program (though I haven't tried it yet, if it doesn't work I may take my hat back!). Also - on the topic of running ScummVM portably, how often does ScummVM write back to ...
