I'll ask before anyone else gets annoyed with your rather vague question... :) What operating system or other platform are you using? What version of ScummVM are you using? Do any other games work? Are you trying to run the game off a CD? Have you read the full setup instructions on the ScummVM site...

My first suggestion (as an M3 Simply user, pretty much an R4 card) would be to DLDI patch the file first, and see if that helps. Perhaps there is not enough space on your MicroSD card for the auto-patching process (no idea how much it takes, if any, but you never know)? Another thing that some peopl...

Another thought, if the CD turns out to be badly scratched or pitted on the underside, engineers have for many years used Brasso to polish rough edges off hard plastics. Sounds weird, but again this has resurrected some (well, 2) of my CDs that were second-hand and pretty much unreadable. You need t...

I have never used EAC, but the "paranoia" options in CDex are built on the cdparanoia code (I believe) and have saved my damaged audio CDs in the past. On a Mac running OS X I would recommend hunting for any command-line versions of Unix tools since they have a good chance of working (well...

Try re-ripping with different options for error correction, and wipe the disc clean (centre to edge, never circular) with a dry cloth. Huff on it a bit, but don't bother soaking it. Again, recommending CDex, you can try various methods to fix issues. Just the drop-down menu shown should be enough op...

Good point, perhaps re-ripping your CD with software that reports all jitter errors would help? (I often recommend CDex - http://cdexos.sourceforge.net - but any decent tool should tell you if things didn't go smoothly)

Try comparing the md5 sum for your game (000.lfl) to those on the page http://www.scummvm.org/documentation.php?view=md5 To save you a lot of scrolling, the MD5 hash for 000.lfl off the original CD should be 5d88b9d6a88e6f8e90cded9d01b7f082 *000.LFL if yours doesn't match, it is not a byte-perfect i...

Another Windows Media Player concern could be that your files are actually track1.mp3.wma and so on. Unless you have dug around in WMP to specify MP3 ripping, just entering the MP3 extension won't change the preferred format away from Windows Media Audio. I would recommend the excellent and free CDe...

It's got to be worth a try, if nothing else you could post lots of feature requests and - in a few months - someone might have added a "pick region, specify zoom percentage" option!

FIXABLE :)

Format the card as FAT32 using the Windows format tool, that should fix everything in one go! I had this happen on an M3DSS, which is near identical to an R4DS, with a SanDisk 2GB card. It registered something like 1.5GB in Windows after "dying" - I tested various things and it seems that ...

What Linux distro are you using? I use Ubuntu as well as OS X and WinXP and it has plenty of accessibility options, and X/Compiz does a much better job at scaling than Windows anyway :)

Friendly warning...

Don't ask for downloads, you'll get all kinds of negative responses. The short answer is no, there is no place you can download a FoA .sou file, because it would be illegal. You can get the game on eBay, it seems that mint copies command high prices but PC CD versions are not hard to find for a few ...

Does your HDTV not have some hidden "upscaling" option for undersized inputs? My only suggestion, which is an odd fix, would be to see if you can find some screen magnification tool for your PC that will let you zoom an area that is 800x600 so that it is approximately 1024x768. The in-buil...

On the other hand, I have had troubles getting ScummVM Toolbox to work, it just insists on re-downloading the tools packages. There are plenty of step-by-step, "type this and it works" guides online for converting your audio in a command window. DOS isn't scary, that's just DOS users... :D

ScummVM Toolbox

Get ScummVM Toolbox from http://quick.mixnmojo.com/software#scummvmtoolbox - it is far easier than DOS :)
