Re: ESRGAN: AI Neural Net Upscaling (For HiRes Packs?)
Here's a video I made with his build playing Space Quest 4 with my ESRGAN background upscales: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVdali9PzKQ This can also be done for SCI0 EGA games! VGA-ifying EGA games can be much easier now! EDIT: Here's KQ4 with a few VGA backgrounds: https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: Ultima VIII bug reports
I'm not sure if this belongs in a bug report but when trying to attack zombies with a dagger I find it impossible to hit anything. For comparison I fired up dosbox and had no trouble. I seem to have to hold down the mouse button to attack for scummvm but in the dosbox version I double click and its ...

If we can get a Gary Owens impersonator to narrate that would be perfect.

Re: ESRGAN: AI Neural Net Upscaling (For HiRes Packs?)
I guess its possible to add the night screens to King's Quest IV which were removed from later versions. The link below has an explanation of what I mean and you can see for yourself with the comparison screenshots. http://sciwiki.sierrahelp.com/index.php?title=King%27s_Quest_IV:_The_Perils_of_Rosel...

Re: ESRGAN: AI Neural Net Upscaling (For HiRes Packs?)
Random Thought: There is a space quest 1 sci vga remake. I suppose it would be possible to give that game the agi graphics and keep the parser interface. But things are positioned differently aren't they item wise and such. I suppose you could get it looking quite close in some places. That would re...

Re: Feature Request: Exiting game goes to Scummvm menu
I did some more tests today, and I can indeed get Space Quest 4 to crash when returning to the launcher, but only if I also toggle on the "Use RGB rendering" option in the Engine tab of the game settings. Do you have this option turned on by any change? If you have the time it would be go...

Re: Feature Request: Exiting game goes to Scummvm menu
@criezy Thanks for the fix, i did find another one quite similar. If one of Sierra's games, with after-market GM patches (like Leisure Suit Larry 1 SCI), do NOT have the patch installed, the in-app notification window about the missing patch will show. Once it's up, ScummVM refuses to return to the...

Re: Feature Request: Exiting game goes to Scummvm menu
I'm not sure if its just me but when I switch some sierra games graphics mode from opengl to something else, when I exit the game it crashes instead of going back to scummvm. I tested that today and it seems to work properly for me. Can you clarify what you did? Also on what system do you use Scumm...

Re: ESRGAN: AI Neural Net Upscaling (For HiRes Packs?)
Wow! Just the fact that this is possible is impressive. You've made it possible for hi-def upgrades of sierra games!! I fully expect people to begin creating graphics replacements for these games now.

Re: Big adventures ahead - Little Big Adventures
I've tried running Little Big Adventure in the latest daily build and it seems to run okay until other actors are on the screen and then things slow to a crawl. This first happens for me in the beginning of the game when the guard appears on a floating platform. Edit: The slowdown occurs if graphics...

Jim Leonard upscaled Gabriel Knight 2 video from 308x167 playing back at 10fps, and uploaded to YouTube at 720p60

This was done back in 2018 so who knows whats possible now.

- Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago and all the other similar vintage games in the series.
- Albion would be nice to see.
- Countdown is a classic adventure
Too many to list really. We can only hope more programmers are interested enough to contribute their time.

Re: Custom Categories in ScummVM
I think a Pull Request would be better suited. It would not only flesh out your idea, but provide code changes that devs could look at, comment on and add to. Also, forum posts/ideas tends to easily get forgotten unfortunately. I haven't added a pull request before so I'm not sure how to proceed wh...
