Re: Aspect Ratio Correction on FM Towns Games

Wow, thank you for taking the initiative to handle this long overdue request. One thing I'm curious about as I read of your implementation: does this solution take into account the "double resolution" of Kanji mode compared to English mode? From my limited understanding, Kanji mode would rasterize t...

Design Decision Question Regarding Redbook Audio Implementation (A.K.A. Arrays Start at 2)

Since the first audio track on a mixed-media CD is track 02, why does it need to be renamed to "Track1.*" (and later tracks likewise) when ripping to use with ScummVM? Since a CD ripper that outputs unprocessed WAVs (other than adding the header, of course) will usually name them "Track 02.wav" and ...

Re: DOTT Remaster and Full Throttle Remaster Ultimate Talkies?

Tried doing the cutscenes manually and discovered ScummVM doesn't like 5.1 OGGs.

EDIT: Made a bug ticket for it.

Re: Surround Sound in Blade Runner?

According to the PCGamingWiki , Blade Runner supposedly had 6-channel (5.1?) surround sound. I can't find anything else to back this up, but given its age it isn't too outlandish a possibility that it did have DirectSound3D (and/or A3D) support. So I have to ask: Does the original game actually hav...

It seems possible... do you mean speech (I don't think it's in higher quality), SFX or music?
The speech is higher quality. It's taken directly from the original DAT tapes.

Too bad that CM-32L additional effects does not work in Beneath a Steel Sky or Lure of the Temptress (but this is known from compatibility page..) so you need to use external munt..
Why would external Munt work better? 2.1.0 has the latest version of Munt (as of this post).

Re: Higher quality music in CMI?

Are you sure that's the CD quality version? The track names look like the old game rip to me. The CD quality version can be found on mixnmojo as lossless FLAC files. There's a link to the FLACs on mixnmojo lower down. I don't actually know where the link to the FLACs is on the mixnmojo website. I t...

Higher quality music in CMI?

So apparently there is an unreleased studio-quality soundtrack for Curse of Monkey Island floating around the web , and it made me wonder: can this be put back into the game using ScummVM? I know that similar projects have been completed for BaSS and IHNMaIMS, but I'm not familiar enough with how mu...
