Re: Download SAGA engine for DOS?

Re: Blade Runner - Original SCUMMVM version back up on GOG.
That’s a relief. The “remastered” version appears to have been widely panned. Looks like it was a rush-job to cash in on the 25th anniversary of the original release. Well, this version has been in the works for a long time. But I still don't understand why they decided to release it in this state....

Re: Curse Of Monkey Island - glitched music transitions
EDIT: Another trick (well, not a trick but an intrinsic limitation) is CD speed: loading the hold room surely takes some time if you're playing from CD, so that loading time will reflect on the duration of the transition That might be why I always remember the track playing to the end on my ancient...

Re: Curse Of Monkey Island - glitched music transitions
I've just played Curse Of Monkey Island in ScummVM and noticed a few music playback glitches that I don't remember happening in the normal version. First one is in the beginning right after you shoot the cannon, there should be a small transition track to end that segment, but instread it just abru...

Re: Curse Of Monkey Island - best graphic settings
Hi Kasenshlogga Thank you for your efforts to improve the graphics of COMI. Its one of my all time favourite games! I'm having a bit of trouble implementing your config and was wondering if you could help me out please. I have followed your instructions to the letter re: extracting your config into...

Re: Curse Of Monkey Island - best graphic settings
update 30/01/22 I made separate configs for 1080p and 4k. Use the according config depending on which desktop resolution you're using. Also in included a 4k "soft" preset for a slightly more filtered look. Reshade can be configured by pressing Home and the effect can be toggled by pressin...

Re: Better Music for GM ScummVM (and DOSBox) games
Catched-on this thread a bit late, but I've been using FluidR3 soundfont which always sound well to me. Any experience with this one vs what is now recommended? I've never been too fond of FluidR3. While it has some good sounds, like many other soundfonts it just sounds kinda unbalanced to me, both...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
Now where Residual is merged, I would also love to see Normality. It was such a nice 3D Adventure (for its time) Normality is a totally different engine. Residual games are polygon models drawn over a static 2D background, whereas the Normality engine is sprite-based characters over a 2.5D backgrou...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
Mystery Of The Druids As of now there is no way to play the original 2001 version on Windows versions released after Windows XP. The version you can buy on Steam and GOG is the "Director's Cut" released in 2004 but it has a lot of differences, most notably a completely different soundtrack...
