Oooooh yeah, in commodore, spectrum, amiga, and practically all other emulated systems, I never tried to save the game "properly". Savestates all the way. Like you say, way faster. Also more convenient and allows for more descriptive savegame names.

In the games we do have... well, some AGS games ...

BTW, out of curiosity, I tried this in the Windows build, and, as I expected, the Windows build shows no problems. I tried the Android port again, and it's definitely an issue. I can't replicate the exact behaviour each time, because when I search/filter for * and then tap on a game, or a few games ...
