ScummVM Modern Theme Remastered!

Time flies so fast! It's been 10 years since we introduced the "Modern Theme" to ScummVM. After all those years, it surely was time for an update. Over the last couple of weeks, ScummVM team member mataniko carefully updated the theming of ScummVM. The new theme follows modern design principles whil...

Brace yourselves - GSoC 2019 is coming!

A couple of days ago, Google announced the organizations that have been accepted for Google Summer of Code 2019. We are very pleased to announce that ScummVM is one of them, together with our sister project ResidualVM. The Summer of Code is a yearly event organized by Google to encourage students to...

Re: help with scummvm gui fonts!

Hi there, can anyone help me restore my main scummvm gui fonts on the left of the photo, like the one that scummvm v2.0 originally had on the right of the photo? https://i.imgur.com/GWGtBgV.jpg Where does your version of ScummVM 2.1.0git comes from? Looks almost like it wasn't compiled with FreeType...

Re: Location of INI-file and relative paths for portable use

If there's any particular interest, I can try to build a version that would respect a "marker file" like "is_portable" and if such a file is present, automagically set all paths including the configuration relative to the ScummVM directory for "real" portable use. @a.borque: Would that solve your is...

Re: What happened to the portable and ZIP versions for Windows?

Hi there,

having a .zip release sounds like a good idea. I'll see what I can do about this. I doubt that the PortableApps version will be back soon...

Re: Unable to run daily snapshots

scummvm.exe - Application Error
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).
This error indicates that there's a missing .dll file in the ScummVM package.

Are you using the builds from our buildbot or the nightly builds provided by Kirben?

Infrastructure updates... again!

Over the last couple of days, we moved our downloads to a new mirroring infrastructure. Previously, each and every download was delivered by our main server located in Austria. Now, our downloads are delivered through MirrorBrain, a download redirection system that allows us to build our own content...

Re: Infrastructure updates

Thanks mataniko for improving the forums!

One question, can you add me to the ScummVM Team group in the forums as well so I don't have to have seperate moderator privileges and just be a member of the team group?

Besides using the game's installer to extract the data of the damaged disk, have you tried opening the archive with 7zip? With some luck, the installer just uses some DEFLATE algorithm supprted by 7zip...

You don't actually ever get to see Releeshahn let alone visit it in Exile. Also, you spelled it wrong.

I am disappoint.

Fixed :)

Our website got an update!

We are not only constantly working on improving ScummVM's compatibility or implementing new games, but sometimes also on improving the project's general appearance. Over the last couple of months, long-term ScummVM fan and new team member Mataniko worked hard on improving our website design which se...

Hi MrPunchy, yes, if you already own the games, you can test the latest updates with the current daily build/developer version since the changes we initially made for the Myst 25 Edition are now available in the master branch. We don't have official confirmation regarding the DVDs yet, but personall...
