Here's a link to the bug report: https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/9829
I don't think this is the only game that has this sound issue. I know that the Space Quest 6 demo also has a Mt-32 sound issue and that''s how i found this workaround for it. I hope this can help to fix these MT-32 sound issues.

ScummVM MT-32 sound volume issue workaround
I've found a way to workaround the ScummVM MT-32 sound volume issue with certain games. I made a video to show you how to workaround this issue.

Just closing the Munt GUI is enough to fix the volume issue.

Re: Glitchy Audio
Here's a new video to show how I setup and configure ScummVM and Munt to use MT-32. Video lnk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycADrzSY5F4 Uploaded it because someone complaint that I didn't show what settings I used to get it to run. In this video I've got the Roland GS setting enabled but it also ...

Re: Glitchy Audio
I did try to add it to increase the buffer but that didn't work. ScummVM ignores it and removes it from the scummvm.ini.

Re: Glitchy Audio
There's no audio buffer setting in the scummvm.ini file. I made a video with ScummVM 2.2.0 and Munt 2.3.0 running a few game intro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFet2ssKXJA&t=18s This is captured on my Windows 7 X64 computer. This is how it runs on my Windows 10 Intel Atom x7 Z8750 device wit...

Re: Glitchy Audio
Tried it with a single core and no issues. CPU load is around 12%.

Re: Glitchy Audio
Munte 2.4.1 was released yesterday. No binary. Only the source code so can't test it.

Re: Glitchy Audio
Never mind. I figured it out. I'm using Munt 2.3.0 and that fixes the sound issue.

Re: Glitchy Audio
Do you think that he can use a recent ScummVM, with external munt (instead of using the built-in), and install an old enough munt version? Should it solve his problem? Yes. That would be my suggestion for those experiencing the issue if they are on a platform for which external munt is available. T...

Re: Glitchy Audio
I'm currently using ScummVM 2.0.0 and MT-32 emulation is still fine. I also checked CPU usage and it's only 13%.
With ScummVM 2.1.2 the MT-32 emulation starts to be glitchy and it's worse with ScummVM 2.2.0.

Re: Glitchy Audio
Tested with ScummVM 1.9.02 and MT-32 emulation is crystal clear like I thought it was. Looks like there is an issue with the sound and the new stable build.

Re: Glitchy Audio
I did some more testing on my device that gives me audio glitches and for me it only happens with MT-32 emulation or FluidSynth with large soundfonts. Everything else seems to sound just fine with latest stable build. I haven't used this device for a long time but I needed to replace the old battery...

Re: Option to copy and run game from memory
No. I didn't try that. I only tried to find a way to stop it from going in to power saving mode. I don't even know how this feature got added to Mednafen but maybe some of the developers also had this issue and wanted to deal with this with copy the game to the memory to run it. There was also a guy...
