Lucasarts adventures get really good prices on Ebay so $4 was a steal. I have that strategy guide. It's actually a little more than 180 pages, the first 35 pages use Roman numbers but still have more information that just the contents. A few color plates as well but no poster. Pretty decent guide, o...

Monkey Island Madness was a completely separate release, it was only bundled with MI3 by LA marketing. It was also available as a part of LA Archives Vol.3. Not sure if it was ever sold separately though, in any case, I've never seen it in a box, just a CD.

Looks like a limited time promotion, Lucasarts tended to do a lot of them at that time. IIRC, my copy came with a coupon for free Monkey Madness by mail (which I've promptly used). I don't think there is anything special about this bundle except for the paper wrapper. My favorite Lucasarts promo was...

UK and US versions of Discworld games

Does anybody know if there any non-cosmetic differences between UK and US releases of either of the DW games? Comparing files for DW2 I could find only some minor differences in text - mostly formatting - but the graphics seem to be the same (even the splash screen is the same showing the UK title f...

Actually, there was a dead end in the original game, caused by a bug. IIRC, if you go to Spain before Syria you will get stuck. Interestingly, this bug got into the GBA version as well - ran into it myself. As I remember, ScummVM fixes the broken script in the runtime so you don't need to worry.

Sort of. Around the release of Monkey Island 3 PC Gamer ran a issue featuring the game on the cover and such (I had the issue, but I have no idea where it or the CD are atm). On the demo cd that came with that issue there was a demo of MI3 and ecrypted versions of MI1&2 which I think you could pay ...

Moby doesn't say if this pack is a CD or floppies though.
Five HD floppies. Later CD release included most of it but IIRC there were some differences.
There were several games that had extra sound/voices/etc packs of this kind -- Ultima VIII comes to mind.

There is a GSoC student working on this, however the aim is to make FreeSCI a plugin for ScummVM. Is this related, by any chance: https://www-plan.cs.colorado.edu/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2859 ? Side note: last night I've pulled FreeSCI source code and was pleasantly surprised. It's been aw...

Yes, thanks. Just for the sake of completeness, I've extracted Mac files. MD5s are the same, file names are different: 71d384e7676c53d513ddd333eae1d82c Blue's 123 Time (0) offset 0-19092 aeabae12cb60562c93caac8b35170d38 Blue's 123 Time (2) offset 0-1048576 dbae03b3d85d2df595baac582f41bc94 Blue's 123...

Works beautifully now, thank you. It does complain about Smacker videos occasionally but that's completely different story.

Detection works now but the game immediately produces this error:
(1:1:0x383): local script 2048 is out of bounds (200,456)!

BTW, I've checked, the game is 256-color.
