You could use the ScummVM Wiki for this. Reverse engineered engine information has been added to the wiki for other ScummVM engine projects, so there should be no problem adding your findings for lure to it. I know I can use the ScummVM Wiki. I just figured that if Dark-Star was serious about setti...

You know, this is really a good idea. Ideally, such a website should make it as easy as possible for people to create an entry for a game; using the wiki as both information for other people as well as a handy reference for themselves as they work. Take my situation, for example.. I'm currently work...

It may be pretty outdated, but all my RE efforts on Lure of the Temptress so far have been with good old DEBUG.EXE. Most of my time was spent in a text editor with an initial disassembly tracing program flow and fleshing out proper routine names and variable usage. On the occasions where I needed to...

Somewhat ironically, I'm well familiar with the Gears document.. late last year I wanted to start a new project, and it was a tossup of whether to start a FF7 reimplementation using the Gears document, or to disassemble Lure of the Temptress and make a ScummVM module. In the end, I chose the latter....

One source of problems is if the data file was incorrectly copied off the CD. Even the new MD5 checks only check the first megabyte? of a data file to determine the game version. One thing to do, therefore, is to try copying the data files off the CD again over the existing files and see if the prob...

That's correct. Installation is not necessary, nor desired. See part 4.2 of the FAQ. It's recommended that you copy the files from your CD to a directory manually.. paticularly with multi-CD games like Monky Island 3, since ScummVM doesn't handle switching CDs very well if you try to play directly f...

Whilst I haven't seen the DS port, it's my understanding it shows a subsection of a given screen at any one time, focused around the player. There's been some talk on the dev mailing list of adding the equivalent of a 'setFocusRect' method to the underlying engine which game engines could call whene...

It's great to hear some effort is being done to reverse engineer Toonstruck - it's one of my all time favourite games, and it'd be great to see it added to ScummVM. It's certainly a pity that it never sold all that well, what with the crappy box art that made it look like a kids game. I would have l...

SDL_VIDEODRIVER is an environment variable you need to set. As it says in the thread, the following batch file text can be used: @echo off set SDL_VIDEODRIVER=windib set SDL_AUDIODRIVER=waveout scummvm.exe %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 Just type it into a text editor, and save the file in the same directo...
