Re: Testing Quest for Glory IV with ScummVM

So after all these years... it’s finally done! Thanks to all the people who worked on supporting this game, including sluicebox, Vhati, and myself.

Well done everyone :)

Re: I have no mouth and i must scream (Macintosh version error)

This is not a bug. The Mac version of IHNM has its music files stored in both resource and data forks. You have only copied the data fork here - I've just verified this with my copy. Thus, you will need to extract the music files in MacBinary format on PC platforms. Follow the instructions here: htt...

Regarding QFG4: most of the issues it has are related to script bugs, which I've squashed these days. The pathfinding bugs are much harder to fix, but we'll get there eventually.

This is not related to Fluidsynth. As the message states, the game you're trying to run does not support General MIDI devices, only Roland ones (i.e. a real Roland, or the munt emulator)

The current code for RBT support is incomplete. There's a pull request that adds full support for Robot videos, here:

The MT-32 output is using different music patches (patch 1 is used for MT-32 output, whereas patch 4 is used for GM output). IIRC, these games contained a patch 1 (MT-32), but not patch 4 (GM). So, a real MT-32 won't make any difference for these games, these after-market patches are used for newer ...

Hey ScummVM dev, did you resolve the 2 bugs I talked about? I can not reproduce them with the last Git version. And when I launch Shivers, the "are you sure, experimental game" are not shown anymore... There have been a lot of improvements to the engine supporting the latest SCI games, but they are...

The CD version of SQ4 already has the GM MIDI patch included. This patch is only necessary for the floppy version. ScummVM only falls back to these after market patches, if a game doesn't have a GM patch in its resource files, and the user selects GM music. In the case of the CD version of SQ4, the ...

So we got no saved game for this. I found some free time and I've played the game up to that point, so this bug should be fixed now.

I'm sorry, but your posts are confusing: - You want to help us fix a bug, but you are not willing to spend a couple of minutes to create an account and provide a saved game - You mention that you are not a developer, but being a developer is not relevant to the creation of a sf.net account - I'm not...

You seem to have downloaded the game illegally off some warez site. We don't know if the game files are compressed, or damaged in some way. Please go buy the game

Perhaps you've toggled Fast Mode (Control - F) or Really Fast Mode (Control - G) somehow?
