i played through the whole broken sword 1 game some weeks ago.
i remember i was stuck on this part too....
you have to examine the kebab-man (or the -store?) with the RIGHT mouse-button.....



after i realized that i felt kinda stupid

(maybe the book was just crap... )

i played it a while ago almost through without scummvm.
i have WinXP with SP2 installed.
i remember that i installed the patch and it worked properly.
try also the compatibility-mode...

sorry, i'm not using a mouse with my PPC.
but i wanted to know why you want to use a mouse..?!

you can play the games (especially the older lucasarts-games like monkey island 1 & 2, DoTT and so on) even better with a touchscreen than with a mouse IMO

i just saw some people with this problem too...so i thought maybe you just don't know how to use scummvm...

you don't see the gamefiles.
just go to the (installed/extracted) game-folder and click on 'Choose' or 'Select' or whatever...
