Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
"Scratches" would be reeeeeeeally interesting. But I consider it an "unlikely" title to support. But it would be reeeeeeeeally interesting.
The original developer (Augustin Cordes) is on ScummVM's discord, I'm pretty sure that he mentioned that he started porting the engine to ScummVM, but I ...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
Your best bet is to join ScummVM's Discord server, he occasionally posts updates, and you can also contact him directlybonewood wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 10:48 am oh if Scemino is working on it. Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
Basically I assumed a bunch of stuff, because I'm not technical and all I know is "does it run when I try to play it". So I welcome corrections. Anyway, it's cool that it's coming. Tomorrow or next week or in ten years.
No worries, I wanted to clarify the matter to avoid false expectations for ...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
I was kinda trying to wait until the next release to see if it included some support for Harvester so I could definitely take it off the list, but with a few more games having had interest expressed in them, it seems best to just update it now (and if the new release with Harvester support comes ...

Re: The Golden Calf English Translation Release
The wiki says this game is currently unsupported
That is not entirely correct, it's "not officially supported" meaning that it wasn't tested enough to be declared as such. Compatibility status for most Wintermute games is indicated here https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?title=Wintermute/Games ...

It seems that it uses parts of the Wayne's World engine, so maybe in the futureGodzillaX8 wrote: Sun May 24, 2026 3:33 am I'd really like to be able to actually play The Dark Half. It doesn't even function in dosbox.

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
Actually there's a PR already https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/pull/7439. if you can build scummvm from source, you can test itPeter Piers wrote: Sat May 23, 2026 6:52 am It may not happen tomorrow, next week, or for the next ten years, but it's no longer a "nothing to indicate it'll ever be"! Exciting!

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
About "unlikely" games, I think these could be moved to the main list:
Bad day on the midway is a Director game
Denarius Avaricius Sextus is from the same author of Lord Avalot d'Argent and relatively similar
GAG - There's a WIP engine, so it's not so unlikely (I never tested it, though)
ICB - WIP ...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
Nice work, I reviewed most of the list and I'd like to mention a few things:
These games are missing the wiki link:

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
I think he meant moving those games out of the "unlikely" category and into the main list. Which makes sense; those games were initially requested in the spirit of "I don't expect this but it'd be nice to have", and the one ranked highest was not, I think, even mentioned at all, it's just a part ...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
Nice work, maybe we could stick the list at the beginning of the topic...
A few notes:
- "Biolab" and "Bioscopia" are the same game
- "Rebel Assault" can be moved to the main list, a dev is working on it
- "Plan 9", "Lord Avalot d'Argeant", "Liath" have WIP engines, so they can be moved too ...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
Back on track, this is probably too obscure, but "Master of Dimensions" is one of those that was always really hard to play on anything but Widnows 95 (from what I recall). And I have fond memories of it... even though it was buggy... and I never got far... Ah well... I think it was by the same ...

Re: Missing icons
Scummvm 2.9.1 has no icon for
Dragonsphere, return of the phantom.
Star Trek 25th Anniversary and Judgement Rites,
These games are not yet supported, that's why there's no icon.
The others should have an icon though. Please download the new scummvm release, update the iconpack and see if the ...

Re: AGS games - general outlook
I see dreammaster already replied about the pre-2.5 games, regarding the rest:
- is there current work being done on upgrading the ScummVM AGS interpreter to run games which are later than the ones supported but pre-v4?
Indeed there is, hopefully in the coming couple of months the AGS engine ...

Can you replicate the issue using ScummVM on a desktop system (e.g. Win, Linux, Mac) ?
