I think the options are valid only if the game supports it. For example the early AGI games were programed to run in Hercules, CGA or EGA modes, so these options run those games accordingly. I don't know if it makes sense in modern machines, but with older machines DOSbox ismore resource hungry, resulting in delays, stutterng etc. Same with some emulators like UAE. Gameplay with SVM is more smooth as the game runs as a Windows application.

Thank you for the informatin! Just one more thing: the links don't mention anything about what happens in the end of the game. As I said, when you finish a QfG game the stats of the character are saved, but does this happens when you finish the game in SCV?
