Re: Building with LTO optimization causes GOB engine to be "ignored"

Question: Do i need to enable-optimizations in configure? Or any of your other flags? Maybe anything else in my toolchain? I tried configuring with -flto in place, but configure doesn't even find a usable gcc/c++ compiler. Removing the -flto flag from LDFLAGS and CXXFLAGS makes it configure properl...

Re: Building with LTO optimization causes GOB engine to be "ignored"

Seems to be related to plugin building, because building scummvm with engines built-in, GOB does work with LTO optimizations active.

Building with LTO optimization causes GOB engine to be "ignored"

Hi there, I usually build Scummvm with -lto flag for gcc and linker (CXXFLAGS and LDFLAGS). In order to build, I have to do: CFLAGS="-flto" CXXFLAGS="-flto" LDFLAGS="-flto" AR="gcc-ar" NM="gcc-nm" RANLIB="gcc-ranlib" ./configure --disable-debug --enable-release --enable-optimizations --default-dynam...

Commander Blood: Suitable in the CRYO engine?

Hi there! I have had this question on my head for some days now: is the CRYO engine going to be capable of running Commander Blood, or does the game use a different engine that's not planed on Scummvm? Just in case, this is the (very bizarre) game I am talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

2) Even a Raspberry Pi 3 can emulate MT32 using the internal Scummvm MT32 emulation and games will run in a perfectly smooth fashion!

3) I have heard a real MT32 and I can't tell the difference with Scummvm internal emulation anymore, can you? Be sincere...

Eugene
What a pity, because it sounds great. EGA+CMS makes a very interesting combination.

@LogicDeLuxe: Great reasoning. Well, Dosbox plays it perfectly well, same datafiles.
So it's an Scummvm bug after all. I'll have to open an issue then: CMS audio is great!

Monkey Island (EGA) and CMS sound: Bug or "feature"

Hi guys, I have noticed that Monkey Island (EGA) has a strange behaviour regarding CMS sound/music: it sounds great, but after entering the kitchen on the Scumm Bar, where I can hear the food bubbling, music is gone on the bar. Then I can enter the church, and music is there again, but if I exit the...

Do you mean the ME version or the ORIGINAL Windows 3.x version?

Myst ME on GOG: Is it really available in spanish?

HI there, Browsing the Myst games on GOG, I was looking for Myst ME to buy it there (very cheap now for only 5$!) so I can play it on Scummvm on my Raspberry Pi. However, Myst is a VERY language-intensive game, since the videos on the books appear jammed, etc., so I need it to be in spanish, at leas...

I totally agree on the interface part, Dreammaster.
If you ever experiment with adding M&M II story to Xeen, I'll be the first to test!

Would Might and Magic II be possible on the Xeen new engine?

Hi there,

One of my most beloved Amiga games was, for some reason, "Might and Magic II: Gates to another world".
Seeing the incredible progress of the Xeen engine, would it be possible for that engine to support previous M&M games like this one, or are they too different from the Xeen games?

Thanks!

ScummVM 2.0.0 on Risc OS exits immediately

Hi there, I have been trying to run the Risc OS port on my Raspberry Pi 3, and it seems to exit immediately after it loads. It takes some seconds to load the executable after I double-click on !ScummVM, then I can see a black window very briefly, and back I am into the desktop. Any idea on what the ...

Yes. Get a Pi or a Pi2, or borrow it, and see for yourself.
