Re: 2.1 stretch mode vs. 2.0 better scaler

rotchild: After several PMs in violations of the forum rules, I am going to say this publically. Unless you are a very capable C++ programmer, you are not going to be able to add xBRZ to the project. It needs a fair amount of work. The current PoC version was very hacked in and only builds on Window...

Re: Unable to play Backyard Football 2002 on or off Scummvm

Please see the Forum Rules, specifically Rule 3: https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17 Bugs should be filed at bugs.scummvm.org. You will need to do some testing with older versions of ScummVM to locate when the dialogue regression occurred for you and provide a list of your datafiles al...

Re: 2.1 stretch mode vs. 2.0 better scaler

xBRZ is not available in ScummVM currently. There are some unofficial builds with it added, but these are not portable code and slightly hacked in. See:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14493&hilit=xBRZ&start=15

We are open to Pull Request of _portable_ patches for this scaler...

Re: Partial Success, More CE Versions needed

Not sure if you are aware, but the WinCE port was removed from the source tree recently due to lack of developers / users so there will be no future releases. See: https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/pull/1931 The project is open source so this does not preclude an unofficial branch by a developer wh...

Re: ScummVM 2.1 - macOS crashes

Richtw: Not sure what is going on, but you would need to run the latest nightly under a debugger such as https://lldb.llvm.org/ and then get a backtrace if it is an OS level crash or at least some level of debug information to help pinpoint what is causing the issue.

Re: Design Decision Question Regarding Redbook Audio Implementation (A.K.A. Arrays Start at 2)

This is based on looking at the commit history as I was not around at the time, but this dates back to the time between ScummVM v0.1.0 and v0.2.0 release around 2002 ... so it has been like that for more than 15 years. The advice on Track1.mp3 etc. naming was added by this commit to the readme.txt: ...

Re: I Have No Mouth... Shovel impossible to take.

It has happened to me when playtesting the game for previous releases. The original game has quite a lot of scripting bugs and I think this is one of them i.e. this is not a ScummVM bug, but an original script one which we have not tracked down well enough to patch. IIRC you can avoid it and get the...

Re: Official support for Wintermute 2D engine?

I took a look at the Wintermute engine code and I can't spot any change where "recent builds have changed the savegame file structure" ...

@albadross: When did this start occuring for you? i.e. when did you create the savegame that you now can not load?

Re: Official support for Wintermute 2D engine?

*cough* See https://www.scummvm.org/faq/#3_6 That said, the project does try where possible to load original savegame formats and avoid breaking older savegame compatibility or allow them to be migrated as this does help bug hunting and dealing with regression type bugs. Though this comes down to th...
