the jewels are randomized in every game as far as I know anyway so we wouldn't be able to help you...that's probably the reason walkthroughs didn't help you...

ok, I just got discworld 2 running. I had to make a few adjustments in dosbox. Now it works find except for two things: the sound has a buzz in the background (maybe I chose the wrong sound card...how do I know which one to choose?) and the sound and the video are a bit "jumpy" i.e. rincew...

I really wish I had a really crappy computer so that I could play the best games...now it's not good enough for the new games (suxky graph. card) and too good for old games like DW...why can't they just make up theri mind about what kind of a comp you'll need to play a goddamn game??

I think the safest simplest way for everything to work is to keep the original files (all of them) in the subfolders AND copy EVERYTHING to the root folder...that way everything worked for me so far...

so there's currently no way of playing discworld 2 on windows xp? DW2 works decently in DOSBox, providing you've got a good machine. funny though...I tried using dosbox, I have a 1700mhz pentium with everything pretty good (though the graphics card could be better) and it didn't even start running....

does full throttle have the file monster.sou? and if it does, did you copy it in the root directory? and yes it is kinda short, but on the other hand I've played some quite long adventures and only a few of them good, since they're mostly long because of a stupid story and unimaginative or impossibl...

I'm sorry I'm posting this here but I just don't know where else to ask... Any ideas about whether or not I can play Discworld 2 - mortality bytes and 3 - noir (especially 2) on windows xp with scummvm? if not what else can I do? I really loved that game years ago and since then I've read every disc...
