Re: Steam Launch Options for ScummVM Games

Oh I just figured it out, %command% is the path to the game executable from Steam's point of view so -p is telling ScummVM that's to use it as the path. IT FINALLY MAKES SENSE

Re: Steam Launch Options for ScummVM Games

@Praetorian You did it, you magnificent roman guard. You actually did it. For some reason I don't understand, --no-console always crashed for me. I tried getting rid of --auto-detect because I wanted it to use saved settings for the gameid. This does put me in the launcher, but I don't mind that bec...

Re: Launching ScummVM When Playing Games thru Steam

Hi, thanks for the response TLDR: Is there a launch option I can use to make compatible Steam games launch into ScummVM? (I am aware games come pre-packaged with older versions of ScummVM, but I just want to use the latest version that I have installed already) For Example: I can launch Build Engine...

Steam Launch Options for ScummVM Games

Hi All, Please move or delete if this is in the wrong place or has already been answered. I've googled this and looked on YT and surprisingly I haven't found the answer. I've been using a Steam Deck since the beginning of last year and using a combination of ProtonUp QT / Luxtorpeda has become somet...

A Very Interesting Discovery in Simon the Sorcerer 1

So this is all to do with panning, in case you don't know what that means it's when the camera/screen scrolls to show you a different part of the background. LucasArts/SCUMM games had a Scrolling Pan feature where the player could move their character to the edge of a screen and the camera would inc...

Call off the hit squad. I'm just a fucking moron. I got my cables confused. TMIDI and ScummVM both work perfectly. Quick question - how do I delete this thread?

Interesting MIDI dilemmma

Hello. As always I think ScummVM is incredible. Now I'm the sort of jerk who has four different external MIDI modules. A 1st gen. MT-32, a CM-64, an SC-55 and an SD-90. Now they all work with ScummVM via USB->MIDI cables. I have several and they're all different brands so I can actually remember whi...

Beneath a Steel Sky -Remastered-

I don't know if this has already been discussed but I just found out that Revolution released an iOS version of BaSS that has some new movie content by Dave Gibbons and remastered audio. I'm an Android girl through and through. Plus I love my Scummvm hub on my windows PC. I was just curious. Is ther...

Still love this work. Anybody know the status of this getting native MIDI support in the official SCUMMVM?

You have a Roland SC-8850, Collector? No. lol I tried with windows MIDI and it doesn't play wrong but it does sound like shit (standard widnows MIDI). Could it be this bug ? If it's this bug, it's fixed in the daily unstable versions, and it will be fixed in version 1.5.1. Until then, non-CD SCI1.1...

Re: Sierra On-Line Games in 1.5.0

Hi there, I just upgraded to the latest stable build (1.5.0) and some of the Sierra On-Line games are doing some really weird things. In Quest for Glory III the game plays with no voice effects (the digital sound effects, there's no version of the game with dialogue, I know) no matter how I set it. ...

So I just downloaded the new 1.5.0 version of ScummVM. Seems this patch didn't get fully integrated again. I won't say I'm bummed out because the works you devs are doing continues to be amazing, but what are the chances of this patch ever being integrated into an official release? Should I start le...

Wow. That would be so amazing. Thank you. You know, it just occurred to me I've been using since probably late 2002 and I've never stopped in here to say thank you to you developer types. It's become such a huge part of my life - so thanks. All y'all developers.

Hi Eriktorbjorn, thanks for replying. To quote Logic Deluxe, the creator of this patch buildermuhthing, "It seems the native MIDI attribute did not make it to the official release for some reason." I would call myself an advanced ScummVM user but compiling executables is something I have n...
