That's an excellent idea for learning French! Having both text and speech has been especially helpful for me when I learned English (though it was with X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and Starcraft at the time), so it should be for you too. Anyway, as a proud owner of DOTT, Sam&Max, The Dig, Full Throttle,...

I am happy to report that the 0.9.0a dmg, downloaded off the switch SF.net
mirror, mounts and runs the Dig perfectly fine on my G3 iBook running
10.2.8.

You need to pick the folder that contains the file.

Sorry I'm a bit late. I can report it mounts fine and runs The Dig (I left my other LucasArts game in my student room, unfortunately) perfectly on my iBook G3 running 10.2.8, on my father's iMac G5 running 10.3.9, and on the brand new MacBook (Intel Core Duo 1.83 GHz) running 10.4.6. Than you for th...

I've built 0.9.0 on 10.2(.4) using gcc 3.3. Had to remove -lSystemStubs, as apparently that's only present on >=10.3 (?) and add the AudioToolbox/AudioUnit Framework (forgot which) to the linker line to satisfy the unresolved symbols you were talking about. I have very little experience packaging f...

Come one people, I had already reported the issue and fully explained it in case it would have been needed... for the 0.8.0 release! Of course you have to compile with gcc 3.3 for it to run on OSX <10.3.9! However, that 95 error I got as well (on my iBook G3 with 10.2.8), I don't know anything about...

Topic: Trouble opening ScummVM disk image on Mac

Yes, it's quite simple: The disk image is in a format which 10.1 is not able to read. Even if you could manage to open it, ScummVM won't work on your 10.1 machine. ScummVM works on 10.3 and 10.4, and *may* work on 10.2 (though I have no way to test that), but definitely won't work on 10.1. Don't wo...

Re: Using the extract command

What am I supposed to type in? It keeps saying that you must specify mac data file on command line, so I tried typing the path. /Users/griffingirl/Desktop/scummvm-tools-0.8.0/extract_scumm_mac "Day of the Tentacle Data" This path doesn't work correctly. Apparently there is an error, sayin...

For Mac I think there's the same kind of dll in the free Smacker Tools for Mac. Just in case (because I have it), the Bink library that comes with EFI on Mac is a CFM shared library that's completely unusable by Residual (not to mention it's probably not Carbon so it can't work on OSX). So you'd ha...

What, no X-Wing?

Sorry for adventure games, but it's the LucasArts game I like most to pick up for a quick game when the mood strikes.

I finally got a load of Scumm games!

As some of you may know, so far I have been using ScummVM mostly with demos of LucasArts games, for testing purposes (and because I never get tired of the non-interactive fun that is the DOTT demo, only that it didn't run well anymore on my Mac). But now this has changed. Around two years ago I saw ...

Re: Proposed French copyright law may affect ScummVM

An amendment to the proposed DADVSI bill has the aim of making criminal counterfeiting out of publication, distribution and promotion of all software susceptible to being used to open up data protected by author's right and not integrating a method of controlling and tracking private usage (technic...

No, the fix is still there. But the link is wrong. You need to remove the dot at the end before using it since the forum software mistakenly included the dot in the url (Jimbob, you ought to know by now that you should always put a space after a link in web boards, since punctuation ends up being ta...

I have no problem whatsoever with S&M (demo, admittedly) and CoreAudio; however I'm running 10.2.8 so the CoreAudio implementation might be significantly different. Sorry I can't confirm.
