This game is hard and illogical. I've been spoiled by Lucasarts. Honestly, that butterfly stuff... Give me a break.

This is the first game I've ever played with a guide open alongside it, just going through to enjoy the dialogue.

Me too. Sanitarium works pretty well in XP but I do remember some weirdness. It's always good to get another game under ScummVM's belt.

If these are straight from the Collection CDs, aren't they missing files, need fan patches, running ancient versions of Dosbox, etc? I think I heard something about a plethora of problems with those version

I think there are a few titles that would lend themselves better to staying 2D, like Day of the Tentacle. That should look like 2D Saturday morning cartoon.

My biggest complaint so far is that nobody's mouth moves during the closeups when they talk. It's such a little thing that would've made so much difference. I know they tried to obsessively mimic the original but it really looks awkward. And of course the art style complaint that you've already hear...
