Ahhh right, makes alot of sense now lol. I'm assuming that means that if I wanted to help - making a port of your (currently) prototype shaders would be required, presumably when you're ready to "release" them? Or would OpenGL ES support the ones you've already written? I haven't written ...

Sorry, don't have enough dosh to donate an iPad3! - although I *could* donate some of my time instead (Software Engineer) if I managed to get hold of one. Assuming there will be a jailbreak for the iPad3 I have a couple of questions:

1) Will the current build of scummvm use the maximum resolution of the device?
2) Is it likely that the gfx plugins available on the PC and mac (i.e. hq3x) would be ported across in order to use the extra pixels?

Some very good points here. Imho I think it's a combination of the "correct" people working on it (now) and the fact that others have spent so long researching. At the end of the day people aren't going to bother repeating the work of others and so baring that in mind the new people are go...

You can install CFW straight off a USB stick, and you'll need it to run any emulators or homebrew as the PS3 won't run anything without installing it first, and you can't do that without CFW. Having it signed or not doesn't matter if you can't install it in the first place!

Ok apparently now it looks like the ps3 will be jailbroken so it can run unsigned code (source: geohot.com). Surely that means the only issue is the illegal sdk usage now? Hopefully now that custom firmware is available to the masses the ps3 port *should* become more of a priority, i.e. the unofficial sdk will get fasttracked for the benefit of the entire homebrew scene. Ofc that was an entirely wishful statement but still lol. I agree that the whole key signing issue...
