Re: STARK engine

... INFO: GLSL version: 4.00 - Build 10.18.10.4276 Could not open shader stark_surface.vertex!! The file "stark_surface.vertex" is in the ResiduelVM code under engines/stark/shaders/ After I copied the whole "shaders" directory (as Linux user I should have made a soft link) to t...

I also tried Ctrl-t with the Steam talkie version of Fate of Atlantis, and it also did not work. Both are Scumm Version 5, the other Games with voice overs seem to be v6 and later. If I understand engines/scumm/input.cpp Ctrl-t is not supported below version [edit]6. Should I file a bug, because the...

Why doesn't it work? It should work to switch between voice and subtitles. It will probably not switch between the subtitles though. You ask me ? :) My guess would be there was [no (edit inserted)] (old) TSoMI with voices? I tried it with a 1.7 beta I had installed on a VM with Windows. With Ctrl-q...

Sorry, my question was not specific enough. In the "Monkey 1 Ultimate Talkie Edition" Ctrl-q toggles (according to the README that comes with the builder) between subtitles matching the voice overs and the original text, which sometimes is not identical to the voice overs. On Linux Ctrl-q ...

Is there a way to toggle the subtitle mode when using ScummVM with Linux?

CTRL-q quits ScummVM when run under Linux.

Could I use a monkey.cfg created when running ScummVM under Windows?

Other important question: Why the copy protection of MI1, MI2 and FOA has been bypassed by ScummVM? It seems that ScummvM changing the scripts (!)... http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/User_Manual/Playing_a_game_with_ScummVM#Copy_protection I hope the ScummVM developers have nothing to do with the R...

precaution

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?!?! That's very ridiculous, really! As far as I understand the position of ScummVM, they want to avoid any legal conflict with LucasArts. This seems independent from the question if there is de jure a case against ScummVM. LucasArts choose to release the games incompatible with ...

As my previous post was a bit vague: The offset at the start of the file seems to be 800 bytes (or 800 + x*1177) With stereo, 8-bit, 44100 Hz and 13.33 ms you get 1176 bytes audio data + 1 byte shifting info. The shifting info is at the start of such a The lower four bits of the shifting info (info ...

OK. I'm not really an "audio guy" and English is not my first language so please excuse me if some of my words are not correct. I also don't know if the encoding has a proper name or not. The audio is in stereo and 44100 Hz but only 8 bits are used for the values. But it is not 8 bit PCM. ...
