If you already have the 'Official' Homebrew Channel installed you have nothing to worry about at this point. However, it probably would be best not to update until this is sorted out.

There is a workaround that isn't public yet, as they're still testing it.

The Paradox ScummVM channel is not official or supported here, so it's doubtful you will get much help. You'd be better off posting at dcemu in their Wii news forum if you want help. Paradox posts there.

It's not finished so I'm not sure at what point dhewg will deem it ready for use in ScummVM. You can read more about it here, though:

I just successfully completed Day of the Tentacle (talkie) with zero crashes or errors. Very smooth most of the time and nothing I could find to complain about.

Homebrew Channel Released

The Homebrew Channel has officially been released. The Twilight Hack is the install method of choice for the average user (without a modchip).

There's also an 'Apps Package' on the download page with a ScummVM port that includes Wiimote support.

GRRB LIB 1.5 has been released, and with it the source code for custom Wiimote drivers.

It's not perfect yet, but let's hope this leads to ScummVM the way it was meant to be played.

Thanks to the Twilight Princess exploit, modchips are no longer required for homebrew. The first Wii Homebrew Channel has been demoed (they're creating a custom icon for it at the moment, as it's currently using the Mii channel icon). Although Wii remote support is currently at a minimum, it would b...

creen=screen I'll try it later on my DS and see if I have any suggestions for you. In the meanwhile I suggest you check the FAQ: http://scummvm.drunkencoders.com/index.htm#FAQ And also, might I suggest you familiarize yourself with the edit button? That way you can make changes to your posts withou...

Perhaps dourden has a newer revision of the Supercard hardware which is incompatible with the driver then? I certainly can't think of any other reason. I just got my Supercard like two weeks ago. Not saying it couldn't have been sitting on a shelf somewhere for a while, but it's most likely I have ...

I'm not sure, but Supercards do seem to be a bit picky when it comes to SD cards. Perhaps you could try a different one, if you have one? Does anyone else who has a Supercard lite have any tips? After that, the person to contact is the author of the driver concerned. I've used 3 different cards. A ...

I still have to wonder: Where's the point? What can your frontends do that the built-in GUI can't do? The SVN build's UI may be a large improvement over the old green, but there's still room for improvement. The aesthetic portion is much better at any rate. Functionality could certainly be improved...

Yeah, I'm just getting into it myself. Personally, I got an R4 (Slot 1 DS cartridge) first, and expanded to a Supercard Lite (Slot 2 GBA card) later since some homebrew software for DS doesn't have DLDI support yet. You could just get a Passme, but if you grab an R4 from dealextreme, they're only 30...

I don't know if I'm the only one that has experienced this, but I'll post it just in case.

When I try using subtitles during talkie games they lag way behind the speech even if I set the subtitle speed to max.

Yeah, I just replicated the experiment and he's right. The single file does have better sound (I've been using the wrong file for years ). In fact, if you separate the individual file and add its folder to ScummVM, it states it's the Macintosh version. Whereas if you add the other files, it re...
