Hello md5,

thanks a lot for those clarifying answers.

Concerning the Core Audio format I also just researched the forums and see that I was misremembering some post. Sorry.

Nevertheless: I try to follow the wiki for creating an own engine.

Best regards

Hypothetical questions about implementing a new engine

Hello, I would like to ask the ScummVM developer team hypthetical questions and their opinions about implementing a new engine for ScummVM. There is some game series called Antrim Escape by Game Hive Corp. for iOS systems (https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/game-hive-corp./id443272129). The genre of...

The old Heureka-Klett games, like for example:
- Opera Fatal
- Physicus
- Chemicus
- Historion
- Biolab

Those are some kind of adventure learning games (rather adventure) and a little bit like Myst or Riven...

They use a huge amount of Quicktime and those games were published for Windows and Mac.

Ok, I didn't know this. I just thought this would be announced more or less directly after the end of the application period.

Thanks for your answer.

GSoC 2013?

Hello,

I am just curious.
Are there any students accepted for the Google Summer of Code this year? If the answer is yes: On which of the proposed ideas students will be work on?

I couldn't find any news about this on the main page or appropriate wiki page.

Yes, the new daily build works again. I could start Broken Sword 2.5 and the wintermute game Rosemary. Thanks.

I hope the Broken Sword 2.5 engine will be fully supported in one of the next stable releases...

Hm, today I tried the Kirben daily builds and now it works again.
So I guess the build bot just uses other build flags so that sword25 is disabled in those builds.

sword25

Hello, I just noticed that it looks like there is no support for the sword25 engine in the win32 daily builds anymore. I tried ScummVM 1.6.0git1372-g1f22838 (Sep 8 2012 04:39:10) and used the game files which worked in a daily build I used months before. I know what daily builds mean and I know that...

Sounds good. Do you think, it could be possible to support the iOS version too?

Sadly I bought the iPod version (and I don't want to buy it again). Is there any way to get this patch working with the iPod version? I don't know anything about it. What exactly does the installer complain about? Sorry for answering late. Well the first problem is that the whole game is packed in ...

Thanks! I installed version 0.6.4. and now it works :).
(it was really a good idea to check the version and compare it with the changelog - it could have been my idea ;)...)

Oh, thought I'd mention also that FFmpeg is capable of decoding the .caf audio files from the iPhone version now. And it helped me work out the format of these particular tracks as well: QuickTime IMA ADPCM, 44100Hz, mono, 187kb/s, wrapped in Core Audio Format container. How did you tell FFmpeg to ...
