After reading somewhere here that Beavis and Butthead worked for someone under Linux, being the curious sort, I built my own ScummVM in openSuse Leap and...it does work, so the problem, probably, lies with the Windows build, having no modern theme under Linux, I thought that was a probable cause, so...

Thanks for the report, although this isn't really a bug per se, but more simply missing functionality. None of the Tsunami Media games currently have explicit MT32 support. Since all the games were reversed engineered from scratch, we didn't have the experience to disassemble nor reimplement that f...

I know Blue Force is not marked for testing, however it still has a bug: MT-32 music won't work: even if selected on the game properties screen Adlib music plays.

Tried to run Beavis and Butthead, have been trying for a while, always the same result: whenever it's time to display the menu (the one with the buttons at the start) Scummvm dies and I get thrown to the desktop. Not even the console stays open. Could you please try to follow what is suggested in F...

Maybe you could (source code availability permitting) use the already available patch code to write your own version that writes only the wmas to disk for storage in a 7zip file or something, and reinjects them, compressed as you please, into a monster.so<someformat> at a later time.

I *kind of* understand what you want to do...after reading your link (and looking at the true monster.sou bit, as I gather from that post, since I'm quite sleepy). ScummVM *probably* doesn't have that restriction (kHz and such), but that is probably better answered by the developers. I don't think y...

Same reasoning applies, mind you: a compressed format will NEVER, EVER improve on the original data (it just might sound the same with a lossless compressor such as FLAC, and that is still dependant on what settings you use to compress vs whatever settings the original WMA audio was compressed in). ...

Re: Compressing flac to ogg (scummvm talkies)

where the flac file has apparently better quality than the uncompressed .sou. I wonder how that works...do bytes magically appear to improve the sound quality? FLAC is a lossless compressor, true, but...other than, maybe, using psycho-acousting modelling...there's no way in Hell (or Earth) a compre...

Re: ScummVM don't read King's Quest translation

I so sorry! I forget ScummVM don't read EXE or COM  I've edited my first post, sorry. Remains just .OVL file. Isn't .OVL also a chunk of executable code (and thus not used by ScummVM)? My knowledge of ancient DOS programming tricks is vague at best, but I do remember hearing something about s...
