Topic: 1.7.0 Supports Steam versions of SCUMM adventures?

It's the Windows version I was trying to play. I was finally able to make it show up by directing it to the Steam game folder rather than the folder containing the game's datafiles. I knew that some of the datafiles were missing from this release, but I didn't know until now that they packed the mis...

1.7.0 Supports Steam versions of SCUMM adventures?

Looking at the release notes for 1.7 it says support was added for the Steam releases of The Dig, Loom, and the Indy adventures. Despite this, when I point ScummmVM to the datafiles it still doesn't recognize a game in there. Am I doing something wrong?

Fatty Bear: Floppy vs. CD-ROM

I recently acquired the DOS Floppy version of Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise. While I can note that it does run in ScummVM, there's a slight difference between the floppy version and the CD-ROM version, such as the one included in the Windows release. Specifically, the CD version has quite a few mor...

I tried that, and instead of bringing up the keyboard it listed recently-used applications. The menu button is the home symbol in the top left corner, correct? Edit: Nevermind, I now know I'm supposed to press the menu button that looks like a grid. My problem now, however, is that when I hold the b...

Saving/loading in Humongous titles

Recently installed the Android port on my Cruz tablet, and after fiddling around and getting it to work, it runs great. My problem, though, is that several of the older Humongous titles require you to press the S and L keys to save and load respectively, and a lack of keyboard makes saving impossibl...

It depends on where you live. If you live in England, then the British is more common, but The American also came out there. If you live in America, then the American version is more common, but the British version was released there too by accident. In addition, the version with American voices is...

Thanks guys, I just tried the game with a daily build and it's working great. Actually, I should probably congratulate the development team since the game runs even faster than when I play it normally. Also, I haven't encountered the error clone mentioned, but an unidentified md5 checksum message ap...

Backyard Soccer support

Just out of curiosity, how is the support for Backyard Soccer coming along? The newest update on the engine I could find (minus the April Fools day fiasco) is from more than a year ago. Have there been any major strides in the engine since then, or are the kids still stuck huddled in the corner of t...

I downloaded Stuffit Expander and tried opening the files to no avail. One odd thing I noticed is that the file from the first disk is recognized as a .bin file and the default program to open it is VLC Player of all things. I'm beginning to think that the files are too old to be extracted with the ...

I used MacOS 9 as meaning older than MacOS X. Actually I used to create sea files on MacOS 7 with CompactPro in the early 90'. As I wrote you can try to use Stuffit Expander for Windows and see if it can extract the archive (place all the files in the same folder and try to extract the first...

... and each folder contains a single file called "Fatty Bear.sea", and furthermore, every disk number higher than one adds an extra ".#" to the end, again with # representing the disk number. I'll attempt an extraction and see if ScummVM detects the games. They are MacOS 9 self...

I'm extracting the files as I type this. The HPVExplorer program is working great for being semi-outdated. Just as a small note, you might want to update the link to the download on the wiki since the links to the download on that page are broken. I was able to get it through a quick google search, ...

Sorry, but you're wrong. Wasn't the first time and certainly won't be the last  I believe that these are from the very first releases in the 1992-93 era. I got these from Amazon.com, and it still had what I'm assuming is its original shrink-wrap on it. I also have the coinciding merchandise p...

I'd like to see most of the later Living Books games supported, just because I would love to be able to play Arthur's Computer Adventure (best of the bunch) on my brand new PC without any troubles.

Are you asking for the location on your HD of the scummvm.ini file? No, I know where it is. Thanks for the info, by the way, clone. Actually, it would be neat if we could edit those settings within ScummVM's GUI, since it's a bit difficult to see where one setting ends and another begins in the con...
