Oh great, an all-new theme format? I guess it's time to start recreating my old work, again.

To this day, I remain unaware of any actual gameplay purpose for that bolt. Surprisingly, I'm pretty sure it even remains in some of the stripped-down version of the game. Best as I can figure, it was either part of an older puzzle which they subsequently removed, or was put in as a sort of red-herr...

Apparently, DarkXL is going to be branching out to support a couple additional games: Outlaws (another FPS from LucasArts) and Blood.

I'm nitpicking, but "Reverse-engineered" engine would be a better term.
Yeah, you're right.

Anyway, a lot of them are also TCs; Total Conversions (see thread title). And not source ports. I know - don't think titles like ZBlood (a Blood TC for ZDoom) slipped past me unaware. I added them to the list since they are trying to remake the original game, or sometimes improve on the original by...

A couple of things I've noticed in the list:

Voxelstein is largely just a Wolfenstein-themed tech demo of Ken Silverman's Voxlap engine. It is not an engine for Wolf3d, nor a remake.

Q2K4 appears to be a Quake 1 engine, not a Quake 2 engine

Aesthetically I think the non-streamlined version looks a bit better, as the ScummVM logo looks crammed in the streamlined ones. The larger game list of the other version is nice though, once the added games start piling up. Yeah, I had released previous versions as a single theme with both the new...

ScummVM Ice theme updated (4 Dec 2010)

Hi folks. Some of you may remember, a while back I fiddled with the ScummVM Modern theme and put together my own little theme, with whites and pale-blues, and a smaller, relocated logo. Well it's back - I just finished recreating it in the current standard (as of a recent daily build), and I've got ...

Bernard also appears in Maniac Mansion by the way (at least I think he is the same Bernard as the one from Day of the Tentacle). It is. in DOTT, there are references to his involvement in the events of MM. (Incidentally, none of it revolves around stuff that only he could do, but it's still attribu...

Something wrong with ScummVM website?

Is it just me, or is there something wrong with the main ScummVM website? I try to go to scummvm.org and just see an Apache file-listing for f5.txt (which contains only the letters 'ok'), and its 'modified' listing keeps jumping between October 2009 and April 2010.

Any one know what's up?

Tex Murphy 1 & 2 free until 24 December (GOG.com)

As a holiday gift to its users, Good Old Games is giving away the first two Tex Murphy games - Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum - for free until the 24th of December. They may not be compatible with ScummVM, but they're certainly adventure games, and who doesn't like free games? edit: If you've a...

If we're talking about legit free games for ScummVM, there's also a short fan-made SCUMM title called Open Quest. ScummVM recognizes it as DOTT, but it works just fine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the structure of the FOR statements in that code looks a bit off... To my eye, it seems to either echo that it's processing all the files before it even starts on the first, or it redundantly converts each file multiple times based on the number of files in the directory.
