Speed issues with apple IIgs?

Hey everyone!

I recently aquired a couple of old AGI Sierra game for Apple IIgs. I've realized that ScummVM is able to play them.
So I copied everything over and everything seems to work flawlessly.

Thanks so far!

However, the games seem to be a bit too fast. AM I doing something wrong?

Might I add that in both games - GK1 and QfG4 - the main portions of the graphics are so badly upscaled that I suggest not bothering with hires at all.

While GK1 has some slightly nicer dialog close-ups I find that upscaling the VGA version with 2xSAI gains a much nicer and smoother picture.

Two filters/scalers simultanously - 2xSAI with 25% scanlines

Hello everyone! This might be a very strange question (and I jope it hasn't been asked before but I could't find anything): Since switching from a CRT to a TFT, I am looking for a somewhat decent graphics setup. What works best for the moment seems to be a combination of 2xSAI filtering with 25% sca...

Included with the game is a short graphic novel detailling what happened before Gabriel gets on the train.

You are supposed to find the kidnapped baby son of a French prince. Gabriel folowed the kidnapper to the train.

All evidence suggests that these kidnappers might have been vampires.

I don't know what I was putting into my search command but I came up empty.

Anyway, thank for clearing that up.

FM Towns Resolution

Hey there! This might be a very stupid question and perhaps something that has been asked already (I couldn't find anything though). I was kind of looking at the FM Towns versions of Zak, Indy3 and Loom and noticed something: Apparently, these version use a resolution of 320x240 or but the games cle...

By the way, the games you mention run perfectly in DOSBox. Maybe you just haven't set enough cycles?

Honestly, I would probably take the one from Amazon as well. I thought it might be a good idea to have two MIDI Interfaces because I had originally planned to buy an additional MT-32 to my CM-32L but there's really no reason.

I think that probably all these USB-MIDI devices will work.

I use a RoMI/O II and it works flawlessly and I suppose most MIDI/USB-devices will.

In both DOSBox and ScummVM it is only necessary to choose midi-device 2.

I wanted to ask if some additional features like Automapping might be possible?

There's an unofficial Amiga AGA port of Eye of the Beholder 1 and 2, which features automap.

Quest for Glory Series now available from GOG

Probably the best adventure/RPG-combination ever is now available from GOG.com! Quest for Glory 1 - 5 http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/quest_for_glory The series is complete with both QfG1 EGA and the VGA remake (although I prefer the EGA original) and "Quest for Glory V - Dragon Fire" which...
