Space Quest series naming convention

Maybe this is a little nitpicky, but I like paying attention to these details so I feel like bringing this up. The Space Quest series had two distinctive naming conventions going on during their time. First were the "Space Quest: something" games and then the "Space Quest: Roger Wilco something" gam...

If The Curse of Monkey Island doesn't work well on the Dreamcast version of ScummVM, I wouldn't expect that it's going to work at all on the Nintendo 64 version.

Full Throttle works but is not completable on the Dreamcast version, so I wouldn't hold my breath on that one either.

Please, if you ever get the version with English subtitles working, then make the Spanish version compatible too. Installers were done to be applied to both the Windows version and the MS-DOS version so it should be no problem to give it official compatibility. https://www.mediafire.com/file/7lhb1z6...

Re: Phantasmagoria subtitles function discovered

I have just tried around a bit. I can get those hint keeper text windows, but it seems it doesn't work with audio at the same time atm. For those cases, I get a window, but "%" is written in it. Which means script patches will be needed. Shouldn't be a big problem. We already patched in such featur...

Oh, thank you. I couldn't find myself any trace of the backstory regarding how this was achieved, just these proofs of subtitling the game present in that Youtube channel. I guess Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh will be done in a similar way. Too bad the same can't be for the FMV cutscenes, it wou...

Phantasmagoria subtitles function discovered

I think this is relevant enough to be posted even though it's not ScummVM related. Someone has managed to get a subtitles function out of Phantasmagoria, a game which was released with no subtitles function at all, same as its sequel, Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within and some other Sierra games. Reg...

Yeah, it's not the prerendered graphics per se...one just feels completely out of place when playing the trilogy in a row. You could say the same about the music then. The digital music of Malcolm's Revenge stands out a lot when compared to the midi music of The Legend of Kyrandia and The Hand of F...

I don't know many people that thought the other two were very good though, so maybe skip them, haha. Well, you know what they say. If you are able to have a working engine supporting all the Alone in the Dark games which ran in the original engine you are aiming to, why dismiss Alone in the Dark 2 ...

Wouldn't it be easier to study source code of Free in the Dark project instead? The engine has been fully reversed. Eugene Unfortunately that project is pretty much in an early state and it has been abandoned since long ago. I would love having Alone in the Dark support completed (it's far from tha...

That Kyra1 CD fan-translation detection bug is indeed annoying, but I can't remember anyone reporting it so far. I can try to make a fix that the version isn't detected as CD Demo anymore. Of course, that won't make the version supported. Do as you prefer, even if that's not solving the game detect...

Also what language (and game) are you talking about in specific? Spanish. Regarding Westwood games, I'm missing The Hand of Fate the most, as ScummVM doesn't detect either the Spanish floppy version or the fantranslated CD-ROM version. The Legend of Kyrandia has the Spanish floppy version supported...

Just wondering. Which are the language versions supported for the Eye of the Beholder games? English and German. Thanks. The same compatibility issue with all Westwood games. :( What are you talking about? I'm talking about unsupported language versions of the Westwood games, of course. It's not po...
