I can't really comment on other cards, but I use a CycloDS / EZ 3-in-1 combi and have been very happy with it. It means you don't have to fiddle with patching homebrew to get it working, the people who make it actually answer emails and they regularly make updates to the firmware.

Full Throttle crashed a few times while trying to pacify the dog in the junkyard, got through it eventually. If it happens again I'll make a note of the error.

Just watched the videos of COMI on Youtube... think I'm going to have to go ahead and put some custom Firmware on my PSP, that was such a good game and it looks great running on a small screen. I haven't used my PSP for ages, so it'll be nice to give it some life again!

You are an absolute genius, this is brilliant. I'm using CycloDS / EZ 3 in 1 and so far other than very minor sound/graphical glitches Full Throttle has worked perfectly. Hmm I didn't think about the possibilities of using the extra RAM in the DSi for advanced homebrew... I've only just had my DS so...
