First most important Question...

Post by PhilFL »

Ok, ok, lets start from the beginning.

I downloadet the file from the scumvm homepage for android.

I unpack it.

I now have 5 folders (assets, lib, META-INF, mylib, res) and 3 files: androidManifest.xml, classes.dex and resources.arsc.

Ok. What now. There is no executionfile. There is no file where i can start anything. There is no installation file. What now???

Don't need to. Copy the apk to the phone, open it via a file browser (Astro, ES File Explorer, etc) and install it from there.

Hm, I downloasd from the Page: http://www.scummvm.org/downloads/

In the list it says: Android binary (5.9M .apk)

But if I klick on it i get a file named:
scummvm-1.2.1-android.zip

So its a zip and not a .apk file.

I now tried to rename it to apk and it works :]

But maybe it should be mentioned somewhere that its necessary to do that!

THX scottt!

try renaming it to .apk - .apk's are basically just like .zip's anyway :P

I downloaded an installed scummvm by this method. Works great! After the install can I delete the apk file that I copied on to my sdcard?
