Wii 4.2 - September 28.

DO NOT UPDATE

Nintendo have issues another System Menu update bringing it to v4.2.

It does the following:

# Deletes most homebrew (channels like HBC).
# Bannerbomb is patched out/no longer working.
# Now uses IOS70. (Preloader no longer work due to that)
# Most of the IOS's have been updated or stubbed.
# Updates your boot2 to boot2v4 (what LU64+'s have). (That means no downgrading of any IOS, and due to that, you can't revert back to your old System Menu. So BootMii as boot2 installed is removed.)

Indeed so. If you want the latest revision then wait for a hacked version so you can keep the glory that is homebrew on your Wii!

No need to use hacked versions, that's dangerous too. Just use the latest HackMii installer to reinstall all the components, you don't need any patched IOSes or system menu. See http://hackmii.com/

dhewg, are you saying it is possible (and safe) to upgrade to 4.2 and then reinstall HBC using HackMii installer?

EDIT: Nevermind, I already read your posts on HackMii regarding 4.2 and the enhancements made to both the installers and HBC 1.0.5. I am sorry for asking here before reading you there :)
