BT mouse not properly aligning to landscape in Full Throttle

I am running Full throttle on an Axim x51v (640x480) and would like to use my BT mouse. It is much more precise and comfortable than the stylus and would be ideas for this type of game.

The mouse definitely works in the game but unfortunately it seems to think the Axis should be aligned in portrait mode, rather than the landscate the game runs in. This means that up/down movements of the mouse register as left right movements on screen.

I have tried rotating the display to landscape mode before initializing Scumm, but this makes no difference.

Any way to fix this?
