Non-ScummVM related question:

Post by grin.ch »

I am curious as to the long term / short term drawbacks of putting the CPU clock speed at 333MHz...? I have the snes9x emulator and whenever I play a game, I have to use frameskip and speed the clock up to 333MHz. The reason I ask is b/c I read this article about mod chips for PSPs and how they don't recommend using the 366MHz setting because it could burn out the cpu. Should I not go 333MHz?

333mhz is safe, it just drains your battery faster.

There are no mod chips for the PSP and the PSP maximum speed is 333Mhz there is no 366Mhz so I don't know where you heard that.

As Joostp said running at 333Mhz is fine, that is the normal CPU speed of the PSP, just Sony has underclocked its games to run at 222Mhz until they can bring out a longer lasting battery.
